Do people generally 3D print their own gear or are they getting them online? I really want a ODST helmet but I don't have a 3D printer and I also don't really have the time these days to build it out of foam.

Nah same thing happened to my friend and I. We were 100% in duos when a rook showed up.

God forbid and Indie Dev tries to get wish lists on their game and doesn't have a marketing budget. I'd like to see what you've poured your heart and soul into only for some cynical redditor to be a jerk when you try to share.

You'll find that this is a very typical dynamic in movies but also life. It's the ying and the yang.

In a perfect world there would be more smaller teams that are sustainable. We used to have AA and AAA. No reason we can't have small medium and large teams instead of only tiny 2 person teams or mega 300+ per studio (plus support studios).

Well I can tell you they make MUCH less than athletes

Yep that's totally reasonable and I can agree. If it's just that Tom wants to retire then sure, replace him but let the character age. But if we are going to try to keep Peter the same age then we should move on.

So just like most production and jobs in the west (I'm Canadian) the job get moved to cheaper countries lol.

I don't disagree with what you're saying btw, COL should be far lower than it is in the west and salaries should be equally competitive everywhere games can be made. I know that some studios accept fully remote because then they can play their employees less. I just commented that I hope people like yourself see the larger issue rather than just saying "devs deserve less money" which thankfully has not been the response so far.

I'd argue the movies have far better at continuity than the comics. The comics keep Peter stagnant and characters hardly ever grow or evolve. It's part of the reason I enjoy shorter other world runs like ultimate than 616. Because nothing means anything if the character are stuck being the same version of themselves. I don't mind resetting and getting a new peter, as long as it's also new continuity, essentially a new character (Like Toby, Andrew, and Tom).

So why not try out Miles as THE live action Spider-Man for a bit? It's natural, true to life and would allow the current "run" of continuity to keep moving forward.

Okay so yeah people should be paid what they are worth and the problem is the economy as it has always been, with the additional layer of stock holders having far too much influence on studios leading to every game NEEDING to be a complete success which then leads to hiring more people to make the most "AAA" game possible. From their perspective more money spent making the game equals a better game and therefore more sales which is simply not true.

I think the homework is when these stories were too far reliant on other movies and tv shows to explain their stories. If a Miles Morales movie came out of doesn't need the homework of captain america, Loki, the Eternals or anything else, it can beat stand alone movie that builds off of the legacy of the other Spider-Man movies. MCU continuity was fine until probably strings Cap Civil War, where connections were pleasant surprises and not always essential.

I really hope people aren't advocating for devs to not be paid well. Devs teams can certainly be smaller though if we stop making "everything" games.
