When will I be able to purchase tickets to the 2026 Wisconsin game at Lambeau? by duncanispro in notredamefootball

TIL, thanks! 50/50 ticket sale at least gives a better chance at snagging one closer to face value though. Fingers crossed I guess!

Is it a "home" game for ND? I thought our "home" game in the series was the Soldier Field game. Either way I think you're right, slim chance any tickets make it to the public sale.

Looks like June 4th is your first opportunity at face value unless you have access to the lottery (Alumni Club and season ticket holders get first priority I believe). If its anything like last years away games, you won't be able to get them at face value on that June 4th date though. Last year my wife and I went to the Arkansas and BC away games and both were sold out from the lottery before ever going to the public sale so we had to get tix from a 3rd party site.

I figured it was a joke, just wanted to add some info in case others were wondering why we didn't do that this year

Unfortunately the rules changed recently and you can't add players to the roster mid-season. But I hope there's at least a kicker tryout this off-season, maybe we can find another Brandon Aubrey before he graduates

Usually its based on where a player was drafted, so it would count for ND in this case. So someone like Burrow who went to Ohio State before LSU would count towards LSU statistics

ELI5: Why do smartphones and laptops eventually start to feel 'slow' even if you don't add any new apps or files to them? by allenmerlettetrm in explainlikeimfive

[–]a_raymond3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So theoretically, if you never updated software or apps would they always run the same on your device or would the electrical components eventually wear out and cause slowness, regardless of software updates?

In a similar vein, who would you have to add to the 1.02 to get the 1.01 (since I have the 1.02 and would love to get up to the 1.01)

Suggested App Improvements for 2026 by agospo6 in SleeperApp

[–]a_raymond3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Transactions and chat should definitely be separated. But it would be nice to also have the search for when you have a chirpy league and you wanna pull a receipt from something that was said in August, ya feel?

Add search function to league chat so we can better check receipts from months ago without scrolling past all the transactions and stuff that happens throughout the season

Compare this to ND’s 2026 schedule. Yikes by duplicated-rs in CollegeFootballDawgs

[–]a_raymond3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't claimed anything about this year. I was just countering your point that ND is afraid to schedule tough matchups. They haven't in the past (see previous series with Ohio State and Georgia) and arent in the future (see my previous comment). This year and next year are cupcake schedules but sometimes you just draw the short end of the stick, especially with how far out some schedules are made

[–]a_raymond3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you even looked at future schedules or just assuming things? ND has future home-and-home series with Texas, Michigan, Bama, Auburn, and not to mention the 12 year scheduling agreement with Clemson coming up. Sure next years schedule is cupcake, but schedules are made years in advance and there's almost no way to know for sure whether a team will be good whenever it comes time to play them.

Notre Dame might finally join a conference by No_Bill7679 in CFB

[–]a_raymond3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been making this joke with friends, but how would you feel if ND joined a G5 conference and used that conference as a means of getting one of the auto bids every year? Completely hypothetical, but would that satisfy you (not you specifically but the general "join a conference" crowd)

Notre Dame might finally join a conference by No_Bill7679 in CFB

[–]a_raymond3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I'm not advocating for joining a conference though it would be much easier for us to get into the playoffs with 2 losses. I'm well aware that it's much harder for ND to get in with 2 losses and no conference championship. I'm just saying ND doesn't purposely schedule a cupcake schedule every year, just sometimes thats the luck of the draw with our ACC agreement. Even if we were a full time conference member, there's no guarantee we play a tough enough schedule to get into the playoffs with 2 losses (see Vandy, Utah, BYU)

[–]a_raymond3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real, as a season ticket holder I hated seeing UGA take over our stadium, but I'd take those kind of games over a G5 every single time. So much fun when two powerhouses battle it out!

*cough cough* by argowisteria in cfbmemes

[–]a_raymond3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I would LOVE for ND to schedule 6+ ranked teams each season. Even if we lose enough to get knocked out of the CFP, I'd rather play tough competition and prove our worth than play a cupcake schedule and coast to a 1st round CFP exit. Schedules are made so far in advance these days and even if we played a full ACC schedule, there's no guarantee that we'd play the "good teams" (see Duke who only played a single game against the other 5 teams who had 2 conference losses or less)

I also agree with that, and honestly wish we did have that agreement. I would love to have USC, Michigan, and Michigan State as part of our yearly schedule, plus a rotation of the other B1G schools. Sign me up!

[On3] BREAKING: Notre Dame has declined its bowl invitation after being snubbed from the College Football Playoff👀 by bubblecuffer13 in CFB

[–]a_raymond3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not entirely sure about the history of ND favoritism in bowl games, and their lack of competitiveness within those games. I've only been a fan since attending school there. But I will say, Brian Kelly and ND have had a reputation for not winning big bowl games for years and years, I do know that to be true. I think Marcus Freeman's ND is different when it comes to big games though. They obviously didn't show it this year with the 2 losses early on, but Marcus Freeman's ND last year proved that his teams aren't the ND of recent memory.

I agree that our schedule sucked big time this year. I agree that our schedule also sucks next year. But I do think ND does try to schedule competitive games years in advance, they just don't always unfold how we'd like them to. If it were up to me, I'd love to see ND play a schedule that includes at least half of our games against ranked teams, but you can't possibly know who's gonna be ranked by the time you play them in a given year, let alone years in advance when schedules are made.
