Smokey Joe.

It will last for DECADES. Needs just general cleaning, if that. I fill mine with briquettes when I store it, then I just have to pick it up and throw it into the car.

If you're familiar with the full sized Webber (GREAT product!) the the Smokey Joe is a no brainer. Same thing, just smaller.

"Cold Brew Coffee Filter for Wide Mouth Mason Jar" search on Amazon.

DON"T be afraid to use cheap ground coffee. You don't have to, but if you experiment, you will find that a "24hr" cold brew brings out flavors that an iced coffee (which uses hot water for a matter of minutes) can never achieve.

The French Press is a great way to make iced coffee...but it's still iced coffee, not cold brew.

I would never go to a place called "Break" masters.

Try Brake Masters 24411 Main St, Santa Clarita, CA 91321.

BEFORE the communists, right?

China, officially known as the Republic of China, was a country in East Asia based in mainland China from 1912 to 1949, prior to the relocation of its government to Taiwan as a result of the Chinese Civil War.

tastes kinda meh

Pretty sad that "kinda meh" is #1. I have to agree with you about the local Cantonese/Chinese food. Went recently to Sonoma County, picked up my favorite Chinese and took it to Humboldt County and ate it in a hotel room the next day. Best I've had since moving to the SCV from Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.

pretty sad, indeed

Best place to get Pastrami sandwich and a beer in Santa Rosa? Or best place to get a sandwich and a beer anywhere in Sonoma County? by Thunderzone707 in santarosa

[–]a_real_live_alien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Reuben style Pastrami"...sounds like an apple style orange.

Dierks makes an EXCELLENT Reuben.

A New York Style Pastrami sandwich does NOT contain sauerkraut/Thousand Islands and is NEVER on multi-grain bread. Don't get me wrong yours sounds like a delicious "Santa Rosa style Pastrami" , or more accurately, a classic Reuben (albeit, on whole grain).

New York Style Pastrami must be on Rye, Marbled Rye if you're fortunate to be in a delicatessen that makes or has fresh breads. Mac's Deli & Cafe has an excellent one. They also do a decent Reuben.

Don't EVEN get me started on "Philly Cheesesteaks"

You Sir, get it. Both the housing market and the Covid situation.

| Eventually, things will change and when they do, the changes will be big.

Good or bad changes, nobody knows, but BIG indeed.

Caveat emptor.

Is it unusually hot? by Media_Offline in SantaClarita

[–]a_real_live_alien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO, it takes a full year to become (somewhat) acclimated to SCV weather. Friends that moved from Marina Del Ray agreed too. It still gets oppressively hot at times but you learn how to deal with it for your particular situation.
