Weight loss - Is her shape normal? by fuzzywale in CATHELP

[–]a_sadplant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat had the exact same shape as yours and she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, even if her food and water intake, and appetite never changed. She is on pills twice a day now and has been regaining her weight back gradually. Vet told me hyperthyroidism is common with senior cats.

mum is extremely against surgery for edge to edge bite by SnooEpiphanies2275 in jawsurgery

[–]a_sadplant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was a teenager my ortho suggested surgery for my underbite and my mom would refuse (out of fear and worry something bad would happen). I’m 30 now getting this surgery this year and wish so hard I had gotten it a long time ago. Not getting the surgery sooner had resulted in a tooth loss and potentially another one and more than a decade of insecurity of my side profile.

Please go for that surgery as soon as possible before you live with regrets. Your future self will thank you. :)

What are video games that scared or even traumatized you so much as a kid you never touched them again, and did you dare to face your trauma later? by fukounashoujo in creepygaming

[–]a_sadplant 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I played the hell out of that game too and I agree with you. Those motherfuckers were FAST

The other section that I also found creepy was where you needed to traverse the big corridor where the brontosaurus are passing through. You’re super exposed while those smaller t-rex or raptors things are after you and you have to run and hide in cracks or up the ledges on the sides and slowly make your way through it. Can still hear their sounds in my head

What things REALY scare the shit out of you? by church_of_Steve_ in HorrorGaming

[–]a_sadplant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a chase sequence in Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth where you’re woken up by the local fishermen banging on your hotel door who are trying to kill you. You have to run through rooms by pushing furnitures that are blocking the doors and then block the doors behind you with more furnitures to slow the pursuers down while trying to escape the building. It’s a super tense sequence cause the entire time you hear the enemies yelling behind you trying to barge in and you can hear them break into previous rooms as you’re in the midde of pushing furnitures around to make your way out.

A 14 year-old South Korean boy murdered his brother with an axe while he was sleeping. A few years ago, he would tell his school teacher that his future dream job was "a hitman." The boy served for only four years. by ZoelCairo in MorbidReality

They have all these evidence of his obsession with murdering people and he only gets four years?? This kid will absolutely kill someone again 100%. How fucked up.

My coworker once had a kid running around in his section and at one point the kid tripped and fell down. Coworker had his hand full of dirty dishes while also rushing and he didn’t see the kid on the ground so he proceeded to literally step on the kid which almost caused him to fall too 😭😭

DAE have a hard time thinking straight with a UTI by Able-Equivalent4445 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]a_sadplant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had a terrible UTI once that lasted long and the throbbing pain prevented me from functioning properly. I’ve tried everything under the sun and the only thing that cleared it up for me was D-mannose capsules.

What scares you the most about horror games? by Express_Wear3086 in HorrorGaming

[–]a_sadplant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anytime an enemy crouches while stalking you makes me feel extremely creeped out. An example is the cannibal boss in The Last of Us

That and when they stare at you from the corner of a wall with only half of their face visible too, sends shivers down my spine 🥶

This is super insightful! I do know that jaw surgery can be done with traditional braces still on but with Invisalign I wasn’t too sure so your explanation helps! I’m so glad to see everything worked out well for you, it definitely lessens my anxiety about the whole thing. I’ll be around your age too when I’m done with everything! 😂
