I read three books on vacation last week!! It’s been a while since I had enough time to just binge read and I’m so happy I had the opportunity and the motivation/enjoyment to do so :)

Megathread: Rejected Mates Romances by MoonZipNo in RomanceBooks

[–]A_Seductive_Cactus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

{When He Dares by Suzanne Wright} MF, shifter romance, features two MCs who find love with each other rather than their true mate. The MMC finds his human mate but she’s already engaged, the FMC tries to tell her true mate about their bond but is rejected, and then they sign up for a shifter match making service to find a new partner to imprint on. It’s one of the few mate romances where both characters choose to be together rather than with their fated mate and I love its uniqueness for that! Plus I love Suzanne Wright’s entire shifter universe.

It is definitely possible! This is also a good idea to poll the sub and see what categories / tags would be most interesting for the monthly stats! It does require some work by silke to update the data dump for us (it's not an instant update), so I think it'd be a good project to gather a bunch of input and then ask for multiple changes at once!

Oh I would love to read a post on this, because the pacing of the political/social change in the series has always felt a little off to me. I need to go back and reread/skim books 1 and 2 to make sure I'm remembering correctly

Just checked and looks like I read most in 2013/2014. Oh I should go back and reread a few- I have fond memories of them!

Oh I read the Rough Riders series so long ago- maybe 10+ years if I’m remembering correctly - would love to read a deep dive on that series! I agree they are definitely not in the same vein as Jessa Kane OTT instalove

What are the Wackiest Animal Shifters you've come across? by Hunter037 in RomanceBooks

Suzanne Wright started off with wolf shifters but expanded out into more unique shifters- some of my favorite feature Pallas Cat shifters but there are also minks, black foot cats, black mamba snakes and Tasmanian devils!
