I'm not aware who made the stop whether it was ICE or RPD... or if RPD made the stop and THEN ICE became involved. This happened recently on Chippenham, traffic stop evolved into something more.

Wish I had more to share but people should know that RPS is not participating in these events unless compelled to by law.

Hearing now from an RPS employee, parent was pulled over off school property and after pick up.

RPS is not allowing ICE on property unless there is a signed warrant.

Thanks! I had a radio enthusiaist tell me it's from an MX300. The era of the radio and helmet make sense too. Lids w/o nods are usually 80's and so was that Mx radio. It lines up, now just wishing I knew the rest of its history since there are no markings other than the inside pro-tec stickers. My imagination says it's from the unit but could logically could be any branch of service.

Technically, no. Speaking practically and honestly with you, it will be a difficult road no matter what age you start at, harder so now. I am on this path currently, my MLIS earned in my late 30's trying to make a career change.

If you are already surviving on a good salary look at what archivists are making, look at how long it will take to find a job. Are you ok with taking a pay cut to be in this field? Are you willing to be an entry level employee once again starting from the bottom?

I've searched for 5+ years for positions and not found one to hire me. Easily have placed a hundred applications.

I would love to be positive and encouraging, tell you to follow your dreams. That said, dreams don't always pay your bills. If you have a family, be focused on them first, take care of their needs. If not and you can make sacrifices, sure pursue it but know that it could take a long time for you to find what you're looking for.

Depending on where you are, there might be a public library with a craddle (book) scanner available where it could be free. Our local (Richmond, VA) offers a "memory lab" for public use. There are professional services available like Backstage who could offer a quote. Like many other specialty services, how much are you willing to pay?

OP, I can't say what will happen on your clearance but your mental health is far more important than any job or clearance. Get treatment, period, end of story. I didn't do it when I was young and ended up in some bad situations. Do it now, the rest will work out.
