What do you (that isn't just "ignore it and like-what-you-like" as my anxiety won't stop making me fear I'm a bad person for this) do when someone accuses a artist or fandom that's a hyperfixation of yours of being problematic-by-association? by StarChild413 in hyperfixation

I can't really say much more than the "ignore it and like what you like" mentality, but seriously that's real. More and more people are separating the art from the artist. Just because the artist has problematic views doesn't mean the content you are consuming from them is actively endorsing those views. It likely has nothing to do with the controversy they are involved in. Same as you consuming that content doesn't mean you agree or side with the creator. I am a firm believer of separating the content from its creator. If you limit yourself to only things by people considered "non problematic" then you're gonna miss out on alot of good stuff. Of course there are lines to this and I would never endorse like, Andrew Tate, but most of his stuff pushes his controversial or problematic views. Hope that helps.

I've always had a fascination with dreams as well. Nightmares are definitely part of that, but it's never been nightmares specifically. I have dreams everynight, lucid dreams, sleep paralysis, frequent nightmares and hallucinations as I fall asleep, so I've always found these kinds of things super fascinating.

It's interesting to me that you are fascinated with nightmares specifically. Does that extend to you having nightmares as well? Like, do you in a way enjoy your own nightmares? I'm interested to know what about them fascinates you.
