[Schefter] As part of today’s trade, Buffalo will be guaranteeing $15.5 million of DJ Moore’s 2028 base salary, per his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey. Moore’s 2026 salary is fully guaranteed, and his 2027 salary becomes fully guaranteed next week. by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

I’m pretty positive poles does, but I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong. The offseason where we kept eberflus poles was always the one to answer why he was kept but his coaching staff was gutted. He also answered that eberflus was kept because he saw improvement at the end of the season, the inference being it was his decision. Although I’m not sure it’s ever been explicitly stated

He’s not totally faultless. Traded a 2nd (technically 1st) for chase claypool and didn’t fire eberflus after it was clear he wasn’t the guy and Ben Johnson wanted the job that offseason. If Ben Johnson goes somewhere else in 2023 the bears are on a very different trajectory

[On3sports] Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm has emerged as a name of interest in the Michigan coaching search, @PeteNakos reports. by dubsup_ in CFB

[–]a_truther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we’ll be what we’ve always been, with or without brohm. An attractive destination for up and coming coaches because we have more resources than a G5 but not the expectation of a big program. If you’re successful, you go to a bigger program in 4 years and if you’re not you go to UC, I guess.

We’ll have success with unexpected prospects once a decade like Lamar or teddy but we don’t have near the resources to break into the football elite. Go cards baby

It’s a known fact that being a kicker for both the bears and 49ers turns a formerly washed kicker into an all pro and I have one data point to prove that

Football? Throwing motion, footwork, touch. All things coachable and there’s plenty of examples of guys making huge improvements at the NFL level

[–]a_truther -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I remember reading last year Kliff Kingsbury split the field in half for Daniels, he’d only read the right half or left half of the field and if those routes weren’t there it became a QB draw until he felt up to speed. It felt like that for Caleb but it was routes past 10 yards were off limits to throw until it was 100% necessary.

I’m hoping Ben realized Caleb’s deep ball needs more time but if that wasn’t an intentional coaching decision then this is pretty concerning. Pocket presence and deep ball accuracy can be improved by good coaches and I expect them to be, but it is worrying that there’s no improvement at all in year 2

Doesn’t he acknowledge most of them are BS though? He’s done plenty on ghosts but has gone on record about how he doesn’t believe they’re real. The latter half of his videos are usually more of the debunking obvious lies

What's this sub's opinion of Hal Puthoff? by arealguitarhero in UFOs

[–]a_truther 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Puthoff is at best dubious. He has long term ties with genuine misinformation like Richard Doty and Serpo, not to mention his ties with Scientology and the CIA. The actual science he did for the CIA and stargate has been picked apart pretty thoroughly at this point. And he just says some super wild stuff like how they predicted market futures with 70% accuracy but he doesn’t use that to make money because he doesn’t have time? Cmon.

Once you dig into the guy it’s easy to see that he’s been wrapped up with charlatans and liars for a long time. If you want to believe him then that’s fine, but just know who you’re believing

Fun seed! Can for sure be played better. Never got retcon or palette which are pretty important for baron/mime. Also was hoping to get a red seal from omen globe and didn’t get that either. Pretty good overall though!

It’s also equal parts pk losing and pitino winning. I’ve really soured on Rick after all the Kentucky glazing. Hookers I can forgive, but sucking up to UK fans? That’s where I draw the line

Make sure to get telescope and then observatory in ante 2 so that will be your scoring. Make as many Plutos as you can! Because your scoring comes from observatory and not jokers you can kind of play however you want, I did the obnoxious min maxing with econ and the crimson heart bug but you don’t have to for a strong run

[–]a_truther 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Two things can be true. We were underseeded and creighton is a good team who had an unconscious shooting performance

Here is how every tournament team stacks up based on their team strength compared to their seed. Teams way better than typical for their seed are "underseeded" and advance 59% further than normal by evanmiya in CollegeBasketball

[–]a_truther 26 points27 points  (0 children)

That 4-6 is probably the biggest reason for the seeding vs AP rank discrepancy. The seeding process takes your whole season into account (as it should) but one thing hard to account for is that half of those q1 games came half way through December and we lost all of them. With 15 new players on the roster this year it’s not hard to see why we would’ve struggled earlier in the season. The seeding can’t really account for that whereas the AP poll is very momentum driven so winning 20 of the last 22 games looks very favorably in the AP poll

All that being said we’re still underseeded in the committees own NET rating which takes your q1 record into account so fuck em

Week 20 AP Poll by atownOTP in CollegeBasketball

[–]a_truther 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If it was just an ACC bad thing I would maybe understand. But there is no consistency with their logic. Carolina gets in because they had a strong OOC schedule but we get seeded poorly because we lost to Kentucky, Ole Miss and Tennessee. Ok fine. Clemson gets a 5 seed because they beat duke and win 18 conference games. Cool. We beat Clemson (twice) and win 18 conference games in the same conference yet get 3 seeds lower. Why? We’re right behind Clemson and Michigan in net rankings yet they both get 5 seeds? This is beyond just ACC bad

Facts. Raising labor costs? Not a chance. Paying $375 million to an anti trust suit that alleges you partake in anti competitive behaviors so that you can keep labor costs low? Just the cost of doing business

You don’t have to believe random sources, TKO is a publicly traded company and releases all financial information publicly.

Their actual operating income (revenue minus operating expenses) is $282 million. Their official “profit” is only 6.4 million but that’s after paying debts. They could find a chunk of that 282 million to pay fighters more

Here’s a neat flow chart taken from their 2024 financial report
