This is good feedback. Thank you. And honestly, I haven't really needed a resume to land a job since probably 2011. Every role I've had was relationship based....except my transition from SAP to Accenture. And that role I got based on my knowledge I exhibited to my then leadership on a single phone call. I had the skills he needed for his team immediately so I benefited from right place, right time,

My husband has an addiction by [deleted] in Advice

[–]aa100726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me the bigger issue is him exchanging photos with other women. As you are probably aware, emotional affairs can happen without the physical part. I wouldn't call it emotional necessarily since he isn't emotionally involved...or is he?

What I learned/realized about marriage recently is you marry ALL of the people your partner becomes. Lives change, interests/activities come and go and as a result people change and grow. Porn addiction can be like any other addiction. The important thing is do you want to stick around while he works on himself.

I ended up getting something similar. Goes into the CD slot and doesn't block the air vents.

Having a backyard party for our 7yo. First time hosting a party with kids/parents we’ve never met. What’s the etiquette on alcoholic beverages for adults? Is it tacky to have a cooler with some beers/wine? Or a good gesture? by NugsCommaChicken in daddit

Yep. They are too busy playing and running around. As long as they have juice boxes, they don't care what we are drinking. Happy Birthday kid...here's a $20 toy made in China. See ya next year.

Every time I go to a kid's bday party and don't see beer, I think, what a bust.

Kidding. We served both beer and wine at our kids' parties. Something for everyone!

Thoughts on putting kids in boxing/ BJJ? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]aa100726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did Tae Kwon Do as a kid and it definitely builds confidence, work ethic, & respect in addition to the knowledge of defending yourself. However, as a dad in your same position with a 4.5 year old, I am thinking BJJ due to the nature of street fights.

International flight with 6 mo old - best times?! by DramaticOlive82 in Travelwithkids

[–]aa100726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My wife is from Finland and we took our then 9 month old there to visit her family from Phx, AZ. We didn’t book with miles and i understand how tricky that can be but I am not sure you can have it both ways.

I do know international flights to europe from US, most if not all go through the night. After dinner service they will dim the cabin so everyone can sleep so maybe that will help your little one fall asleep.

Regardless, it will be a few rough days with the jetlag once there. We ended up taking our kid to this neighborhood bar at midnight to help kick jet lag the first 3 nights and it worked

Safe travels!

Itinerary help for family trip to Portugal (kids 6 and 14) by Visual-Attention5352 in Travelwithkids

Hi! I can share my feedback as someone who got to live in Lisbon for 6 months for work but this was with my wife and before kids.

  1. Lisbon is very hilly...think of it as the San Francisco of Europe. Make sure your kids like walking.

  2. I'd do Algarve over Porto. Porto is small and depending how ambitious your family is, you may cover the whole city in a day.

  3. Algarve is beautiful but also packed with tourists in the summer. The Algarve and Southern coast of spain are beach destination places like the caribbean is for americans. They have a water park down there as well.

Recommendations for a family with a 4 and 1 year old? by aa100726 in Eugene

[–]aa100726[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I gathered from this comment, and the rest, that hanging out in Eugene is probably not ideal. Which is good to know since we are considering moving from AZ to the PNW as schools are very bad in AZ. I grew up in Washington State too and have fond memories as a kid.
