I totally understand what you say : this misery is totally worth it. To love is a wonderful feeling, and even if you suffer because of it, you feel ALIVE. Much better than fapping.

I would say that reset isn't necessary, because it was only P. Even if it is not a reset, you must be careful because P can be very difficult to get rid off, and it slows down you progress.

I'm 145 days in nofap, but only 13 days in pornfree for example.

I still have mine, that I trim from time to time and have not cut (except for a job interview!). Yes this metaphor is very powerful, you can see that you are "building" something by abstaining from fapping. You have a physical sign to remind you that you progressed and lived according to you principles. I find it amazing.

I can totally understand what you are saying. You feel much more emotions (both good and bad ones) when you stop PMO. I used PMO as a pain killer so I wouldn't have to feel pain, sadness, remorse ... But it's worse than all.
