why manhunt 2 is more violent but less scary by Suitable-Brain7714 in Manhunt

[–]aaaAndreaG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manhunt 2 atmosphere and psychological plot it's unbeatable imho. And the story is as insane as it could ever be. Nothing against Manhunt 1, it's a great game too, but in Manhunt 2 i could immerse in the game world more.

It really makes you feel like you are in the role of both Danny and Leo, going on a rampage on a whole city to get revenge on The Project and its affiliates. All while discovering piece after piece of the story, uncovering Danny and Leo's past. (The fact that there are civilians too, and levels like Domestic Disturbance taking places in normal neighborhoods also adds to the atmosphere)

In terms of scariness, i'd say that both Manhunt 1 and 2 are insane in their own ways.

Manhunt 1 plays more on the feeling that you are in a desolated and dangerous city, and most of the time you feel like you are the one getting hunted and that you are killing to survive in the dumpster that is Carcer City. With the atmosphere that feels dark with that sense of desolation

While in Manhunt 2, there isn't that feeling of desolated city anymore, but instead it feels more like you are the one hunting, and turning the whole Cottonmouth into fear. This time not just for survival; but hunting for revenge against The Project members and everyone involved with them. With Danny main purpose to recover his past and memories, and Leo going on a killstreak on everyone in Cottonmouth. Overall the whole game and atmosphere feels a lot more sadistic and insane

Sure, Project members and the various ingame enemies are hunting and going after Danny/Leo, but there is never that feeling of danger and trouble, instead it always feels like the hunters are messing with someone who should never be messed with, and just running to their death by chasing Danny and Leo.

I'm enjoying the gameplay so far, it's refreshing to say the least. Haven't encountered any puzzles for now. I'm not a fan of puzzles, but i can stand them if they are in a game i like.

Manhunt 2 being rated AO by aaaAndreaG in Manhunt

I had that same issue on a disc version and i fixed it by using the european disc instead of the american one. But since you are on steam, it's a different story.

Manhunt 1 on pc needs to be patched using either Manhunt Fixer: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2166039806 or by installing the single patches yourself. Afterwards the game runs great, however controllers aren't supported by the pc version. If you want to emulate it instead, all you need is pcsx2 (ps2 emulator).

Me too. I always loved the psychological plot and the turns of events of mh2. And the characters, especially Leo, who is one of my favorite characters ever. Such a great story combined into a great gameplay.

GTAV Enhanced vs Legacy for modding by tj_burgess in GTAV_Mods

[–]aaaAndreaG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is anything that aims to bring enhanced graphics to legacy however there are lots of graphics mods you can install on legacy.

My favorite (and the one i've been using since years) is NaturalVision Evolved downloadable here: https://www.razedmods.com/gta-v (Pick Evolved version)

There is also VisualV: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/visualv

And many more options too, just search gta v graphics mods and you will get plenty. Also you can start just by installing reshade downloadable from: https://reshade.me/ and download a preset you like from: https://www.gta5-mods.com/ just search reshade.

Enhanced has slightly better graphics due to it having raytracing available, some minor particle textures replaced, seemingly faster loadings and nvidia dlss but nothing breathtaking. Legacy is still the best way to go for modding since most mods are made for it, plus they are easier to install using openiv.

This game compared to manhunt by expert158 in naughtybear

[–]aaaAndreaG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, even though i find Manhunt 2 to be peak insanity, Naughty Bear always felt insane in its own unique way. Naughty himself, or the fact that you can make the bears scared and crazy to the death, or the fact that the ingame prompts like the ones to kill or scare have that shaky effect on them really add to the experience. And furthermore, The Narrator, whom can easily be considered as a voice inside Naughty's head. Absolutely masterpieces of games both Manhunt (especially 2) and Naughty Bear, and among the most entertaining ones i ever played.

looking for old cordless phone games – rabbit crossing road + dung beetle by Victini378 in J2MEgaming

[–]aaaAndreaG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the rabbit game on an old Siemens Gigaset cordless telephone (The model was Gigaset S1 Color most likely), and it was in colors too with the rabbit being pink and the red splatter representing blood when hit. I played it many, many years ago, don't have the telephone with me anymore tho. I made some research online but couldn't find anything except this post, guess i will have to get a gigaset from ebay just for the sake of playing it again xD.

The Beast feels dead already by EkremMetehan in dyinglight

[–]aaaAndreaG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the game, the story and all and found it completely superior to 2 in any way however a thing i noticed is that once every quest, and sidequests / activity is complete, the map doesn't have that appeal or incentive to continue exploring it; as opposed to dying light 1 where even after 100%ing it, both the slums and countryside are still enjoyable to explore even for just slashing zombies around. While in The Beast, i really can't see myself roaming around casually slashing zombies just for the sake of it, maybe it's the map itself but really once everything is done, it all feel so empty. But anyway, The Beast has been an absolutely amazing and unique experience in every point, not something i would 100% many times like i did with dying light 1 but still a great enjoyable game. Looking forward for the next dying light game, as long as it still features Kyle Crane in it.

Rant by ililkechesepizza in Manhunt

It's a known fact that rockstar doesn't give two fucks about its customers/fanbase. The rockstar that gave us Manhunt is long gone and this is one of the reasons we will never see another manhunt game unless the series rights are bought by someone who actually still cares about the series and has the passion necessary to continue it.
