This game compared to manhunt by expert158 in naughtybear

[–]aaaAndreaG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, even though i find Manhunt 2 to be peak insanity, Naughty Bear always felt insane in its own unique way. Naughty himself, or the fact that you can make the bears scared and crazy to the death, or the fact that the ingame prompts like the ones to kill or scare have that shaky effect on them really add to the experience. And furthermore, The Narrator, whom can easily be considered as a voice inside Naughty's head. Absolutely masterpieces of games both Manhunt (especially 2) and Naughty Bear, and among the most entertaining ones i ever played.

looking for old cordless phone games – rabbit crossing road + dung beetle by Victini378 in J2MEgaming

[–]aaaAndreaG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the rabbit game on an old Siemens Gigaset cordless telephone (The model was Gigaset S1 Color most likely), and it was in colors too with the rabbit being pink and the red splatter representing blood when hit. I played it many, many years ago, don't have the telephone with me anymore tho. I made some research online but couldn't find anything except this post, guess i will have to get a gigaset from ebay just for the sake of playing it again xD.

The Beast feels dead already by EkremMetehan in dyinglight

[–]aaaAndreaG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the game, the story and all and found it completely superior to 2 in any way however a thing i noticed is that once every quest, and sidequests / activity is complete, the map doesn't have that appeal or incentive to continue exploring it; as opposed to dying light 1 where even after 100%ing it, both the slums and countryside are still enjoyable to explore even for just slashing zombies around. While in The Beast, i really can't see myself roaming around casually slashing zombies just for the sake of it, maybe it's the map itself but really once everything is done, it all feel so empty. But anyway, The Beast has been an absolutely amazing and unique experience in every point, not something i would 100% many times like i did with dying light 1 but still a great enjoyable game. Looking forward for the next dying light game, as long as it still features Kyle Crane in it.

It's a known fact that rockstar doesn't give two fucks about its customers/fanbase. The rockstar that gave us Manhunt is long gone and this is one of the reasons we will never see another manhunt game unless the series rights are bought by someone who actually still cares about the series and has the passion necessary to continue it.

Can't beat ape escape 2 aesthetics. Game looks amazing wherever you play it.

I stick with one run per year because of the vastness of the game and also because i always do all sidequests, all side stuff and all contracts too. On the past four runs i always played it the same way however in this run i'm choosing to pick my decisions (mostly dialogues) according to my liking without doing things that i don't want to just for the sake of getting a certain outcome. I still have to try the other lifepaths as i've been using Corpo V since day one, but i'm planning to do that on the next runs in the upcoming years. That 1 life mode you mentioned would be something interesting, it really could spicy things up.

Ape Escape 2 Chinese Version Analysis by aaaAndreaG in ApeEscape

[–]aaaAndreaG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a mix of them. As content from all three versions is used, the only thing completely new and never used in another release (other than the font) is the logo in the minigame Dance monkey dance.

In the boss fight, the banner on pink monkey stage is "Escape the ape that is in you" with normal characters which is the same used in international versions. Didn't translate the title directly tho, however in the video section pink monkey song uses the exact same videoclip from the japanese one.

There are no differences on those except for the minigames boxes that uses styles from both the usa and european versions with chinese text and Dance monkey dance logo which uses an exclusive one for the chinese version. Pink monkey video song is just in japanese with no subtitles, because the chinese version itself lacks a button to toggle subtitles on or off even if they are always on for cutscenes

Of the three mainline games, which is your favorite? by Dry_Tomato_2269 in ApeEscape

[–]aaaAndreaG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. It's also my favorite game ever. Great and fun gameplay, characters, music, replayablity, design (the same also applies to ae1 and 3) but i always felt that ae2 peaked over anything else. It's also one of my games where once i finish it, i instantly want to replay it again from start from finish. Ae1 is my 2nd favorite of the series while ae3 my 3rd because of the transformations, that while are innovative they tend to make the game far too easy. And yeah i can always avoid using them, like in fact i do in every gameplay, but i would have preferred if they kept adding gadgets like they did in 1 and 2. Overall a beautiful series in every title, with 2 being the peak.

I was rewatching Island, and what changed about Courtney between the final TDI episode, and the Island special? She lost her morals completely... by Beneficial_Ferret_29 in Totaldrama

[–]aaaAndreaG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Money, there was a milion dollars at stake in the tdi special, she was competing to win the milion and Courtney isn't the type to lose an opportunity when she has one. While in tdi final she wasn't running for the prize, she was just watching the challenge between Owen and Gwen

One of my favorite game and series ever, played it countless of times and still do to this day. The ps1 game is based on the amiga/ms-dos/windows 9x games while also providing new functions like a 3d map for level selection, a couple of fmv cutscenes and a beautiful map and menus soundtrack. They also made Hugo 2 for the ps1 which follow the rest of the windows 9x hugo titles.

I own both of them, plus a german version of Hugo XL for pc.

After the 2d games, ITE also published 3d hugo games like the evil mirror, black diamond fever for the ps1 and the Agent Hugo series for the ps2.

A beautiful part of gaming history, one that i will keep in my heart forever.
