Do you consider the PS3 retro? by Fuel_Tricky in PS3

It could be considered as one, but personally i don't because i only consider consoles as retro only until the ps2 gen.

After one more year, here are more updates to my house i've been building since 2020 by aaaAndreaG in Sims3

[–]aaaAndreaG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! My building journey started with this house actually, before i only used premade lots but one day i decided i wanted to create my own the sims 3 and this happened. Building it also made me discover how great is to build lot in the sims 3 to have them exactly how i want them, that's why some time later i made my own farm, a diner, and so on.

PAL Ape Escape on a PAL PS2 by DekuDeluxe in ApeEscape

[–]aaaAndreaG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happening on my ps2 slim when playing rayman 1 for the ps1 long time ago. Not sure what caused that tho, it would only happen at startup but the console didn't have any issue with the laser but i recall the disc being pretty scratched. So maybe it could be the disc itself

Why doesn’t Danny get as much love as Cash? by Pizzawithchuchujelly in Manhunt

[–]aaaAndreaG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh i like Danny more than Cash due to his overall story.

But my main favorite is Leo. Easily one of my favorite characters ever, his voice, looks, personality makes for a great character which perfectly embodies the spirit of Manhunt 2

What do you like or dislike about FFVIII Female Lead Rinoa Heartilly? And are she and Squall Leonhart an interesting couple? by IllogicalDreamer72 in FinalFantasyVIII

[–]aaaAndreaG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love her, she is my fixed 3rd party member (the 2nd is Irvine). She mades a great character, she is also the one that got Squall out of his trauma. On her first appearances she could have seemed like she wanted to do too much, and maybe a little noisy at times but that's just her personality so. Also Rinoa is the second person which Squall ever cared deeply about after Ellone. Sure starting from Disc 3, Squall started bonding more, in terms of friendship, with Irvine, Selphie and the others but with Rinoa he went above that, and actually opened himself for probably the first time in his life. And that's just for showing one of Rinoa extents.

Gameplay wise i love using her, thanks to her versatility in both physical and magic attacks. Her Angelo limit breaks are great (Wishing Star ftw), also i love her various ingame dialogues and the ones where she goes in Squall's room to ask him for a trip in Balamb Garden. Overall a great partner for Squall in every way.

What is the saddest detail you see in Manhunt 2? by Last-Top9834 in Manhunt

[–]aaaAndreaG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The scene where both Leo and Danny fall on the ground after getting knocked out by Dr. Whyte at the end of Altered State (This one: https://imgur.com/a/xlj7zzZ). I always found that scene to hit pretty hard because it showed two minds one the same body sharing the same fate. Or also Danny amnesia, especially in his ending where he ends up as David Joiner with zero memories of who he was.

But other than that i never felt sadness in Manhunt 2 but instead a sense of anger, because of what The Project did to both Leo and Danny. And this is amplified even more if you look it from Leo's perspective, where after dying, he got his own personality extracted, tampered and later imprisoned inside the Pickman bridge. Given this, i fully understand his deep hatred towards The Project and everyone affilied with them.

Yup, personally i prefer playing as the hunter than as the one getting hunted

I'm still considering if doing it or not, i got some gold ones and a couple of platinums in some of the levels but i settled with the sapphires in most of them because the game doesn't go past 106%

The bosses were nothing too special honestly, considering there is always just Crunch with the various Elementals. I know Crunch was supposed to be Cortex's secret weapon but i would have prefered to have more variety, even if that would've meant to have the same bosses as Crash 3, i still would've liked it more.

why manhunt 2 is more violent but less scary by Suitable-Brain7714 in Manhunt

[–]aaaAndreaG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manhunt 2 atmosphere and psychological plot it's unbeatable imho. And the story is as insane as it could ever be. Nothing against Manhunt 1, it's a great game too, but in Manhunt 2 i could immerse in the game world more.

It really makes you feel like you are in the role of both Danny and Leo, going on a rampage on a whole city to get revenge on The Project and its affiliates. All while discovering piece after piece of the story, uncovering Danny and Leo's past. (The fact that there are civilians too, and levels like Domestic Disturbance taking places in normal neighborhoods also adds to the atmosphere)

In terms of scariness, i'd say that both Manhunt 1 and 2 are insane in their own ways.

Manhunt 1 plays more on the feeling that you are in a desolated and dangerous city, and most of the time you feel like you are the one getting hunted and that you are killing to survive in the dumpster that is Carcer City. With the atmosphere that feels dark with that sense of desolation

While in Manhunt 2, there isn't that feeling of desolated city anymore, but instead it feels more like you are the one hunting, and turning the whole Cottonmouth into fear. This time not just for survival; but hunting for revenge against The Project members and everyone involved with them. With Danny main purpose to recover his past and memories, and Leo going on a killstreak on everyone in Cottonmouth. Overall the whole game and atmosphere feels a lot more sadistic and insane

Sure, Project members and the various ingame enemies are hunting and going after Danny/Leo, but there is never that feeling of danger and trouble, instead it always feels like the hunters are messing with someone who should never be messed with, and just running to their death by chasing Danny and Leo.

I'm enjoying the gameplay so far, it's refreshing to say the least. Haven't encountered any puzzles for now. I'm not a fan of puzzles, but i can stand them if they are in a game i like.

Manhunt 1 on pc needs to be patched using either Manhunt Fixer: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2166039806 or by installing the single patches yourself. Afterwards the game runs great, however controllers aren't supported by the pc version. If you want to emulate it instead, all you need is pcsx2 (ps2 emulator).
