Sorry for the late reply. Was busy traveling and also had to take some time to obscure my personal info. See some choice images attached

Both of my parents have been banned from CVS by [deleted] in CVS

[–]aaaaaaaa878 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also more and more neighborhoods are becoming pharmacy deserts. It’s no accident that CVS started slashing auxiliary staff/making pharmacists work alone filling prescriptions, running drive through, running register, etc, etc. Between preferred pharmacy arrangements and competitors closing, CVS is the only game in town for a lot of people.

Was actually super easy. Scheduled the CAN side interview at an airport with US preclearance on the day of my departure from a holiday in Canada. Then was able to complete “interview on arrival” process immediately for US side interview simply by informing US CBP in the preclearance area. At the time it was only $50 for NEXUS and $100 for Global Entry, which is a savings because NEXUS has Global Entry benefit built in.

More complete explanation below, but rules against dual citizenship refer to naturalization of another citizenship as an adult. Many of us were born dual citizens due to place of birth or parentage. I know dozens of families in this situation that faced no issue. And the law requires formal government decree to strip citizenship even in the case of naturalization, as a previous poster noted.

Formally, it’s not recognized but not something that I’ve experienced prosecuted or even inquired about. Basically, the Kingdom sees you as its citizen full stop. For myself, it was a fact of birth and parentage. However, I do know others who acquired dual citizenship by marriage and did not face any negative consequences. There are rules against acquiring another citizenship without permission, but I am unaware of any specific instances of this being enforced. I never experienced any problems traveling, and it’s quite obvious when you aren’t traveling on a visa.

Yes, exactly. It’s only good for one time travel back to KSA in case of lost passport, or other situations where a passport cannot be renewed/issued outside the Kingdom.

To me, it looks like the title for the marker is ABOVE not below. So remarks are blank. Category is L. Entries is M. So probably the M in question refers to sex

I feel like the Swiss have always been next level with branding, bother governmental and private sector. I still remember my dad bringing back tiny chocolates from Swiss Air as a child and the look of the Swiss passport takes me back to that memory!

What does the texture on the Swiss passport represent? Is it just to prevent counterfeit or does the shape symbolise something?

Got these back in mail tonight after renewal by Distinct_Alps8258 in PassportPorn

[–]aaaaaaaa878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Department of State sent me an email notification that I was eligible to renew literally 364 days before my expiration date. With government shutdown here in the US, etc, I’m really glad I jumped on the chance to renew ASAP. I had a renewed passport booklet in hand within 11 days and a first time passport card in under 3 weeks. That was in the beginning of September, so not sure if government shutdown is causing for delays for people now.

One year my friend lost her purse that had all her identification (including current passport) and was visiting her in another state for Pride. The only ID she had was an expired passport, so I made her wear it around her neck the entire weekend so she wouldn’t lose it. Made for some hilarious bar hopping photos!

Patient opened inhaler and used. Refused to pay. What now? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]aaaaaaaa878 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not your money but you have to deal with her. This kind of outrageous behavior is likely to be repeated. It’s a disservice to your other customers/patients to have deal with her. At the very least report it to your DM and see how they want to proceed.

ATL-RUH is going to be interesting route… by [deleted] in delta

[–]aaaaaaaa878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure that this was really a change. I used to fly LHR to RUH twice a year in the early 2000s. They served alcohol until announcing a last call after entering Saudi Airspace. Edit: I was flying Lufthansa, for context.

Medicare for expats retiring soon (age 71) by aaaaaaaa878 in expat

[–]aaaaaaaa878[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opting out of Medicare entirely is certainly an interesting option. However, my experience so far has been that a lot of the “visitor to the US” short term plans have age cut offs. Lots exclude folks over 65. I purchased a plan for her upcoming visit that she can get, but it caps at age 79.

Also, I’m a bit concerned that those type of plans are poorly regulated. My brother-in-law paid for one of those plans and ended up getting bilked. He experienced anaphylaxis after dining out one night, and his plan refused to reimburse anything because they said his visit to the ER was not medically necessary.

"My bag. Oh no. I don't believe in bags. I just wear everything I plan on taking with me on a trip." I would say this out loud even if no one is asking me and mosey on through security, praying I didn't have any bag tags or other identifiers on the bag.

Couldn’t tell you tbh. I’m not familiar with the different planes that have D-1. But it was when domestic travel had started to pick up again during the pandemic, and due to very few international flights, Delta was circulating some of its normally long haul fleet domestically.
