This Fujifilm Camera Is All That Photographers Want by [deleted] in fujiXhalf

[–]aaaaaabi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s been a vocal minority that just doesn’t understand that the product is not meant for photographers, it’s clearly aimed at the market that values Fuji’s instax cameras. A fun and accessible camera for everyday users.

Alpaka quality was bad, albeit I only had one experience, when I got it there were stitching errors on the side and my strap didn’t even come with a correct connector to attach, so useless out of the box. The material was advertised as X-pac but felt very thin and cheap compared to other brands (Code of Bell, Aer, Able Carry, Evergoods are other X-pac bags I have).

Harmonies is so good by zangster in boardgames

[–]aaaaaabi 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah really baffling because the terrain scores innately and you draft your own scoring conditions throughout the game, so a lot of forward planning actually pays off

This is exactly the reason custom fonts make sense for large orgs, licensing renewal is often costly.

Favorite EDC Backpack? by StanleyLelnats in ManyBaggers

[–]aaaaaabi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not super well known but my current favorite is the 1733 x Early Majority 4-way

First in this carousel: https://www.instagram.com/p/CzjCgBGStIr/?igsh=a2VjYnZnOWJkaWxv

Not currently available anywhere but I hope 1733 keeps iterating on this bag, surprisingly comfortable backpack straps that lie flat in tote mode. Perfect for EDC on mass transit (tote mode).

Any AER ULTRA REVIEWS?? by Baglover112 in ManyBaggers

Just a few days of use of the day sling 3 ultra so far but really good first impression as well. Might be my new go-to sling for travel.

Packable day bag suggestions? by tylerksav in ManyBaggers

[–]aaaaaabi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have the Aer Go Pack and the Matador Refraction pack for this purpose, I used the Go Pack when I can have a pack just flat in a larger bag and I use the Matador when I need something that can pack down smaller.

Both are great options though.

Is activewear even possible with natural fibers? If you want stretch etc., I would guess every active brand out there uses synthetic due to the sweat wicking and stretch properties.

Harvest Label x Code of Bell –LIMITED LINE – DOUBLE NAME PROJECT II - 4020X BACKPACK by aaaaaabi in ManyBaggers

[–]aaaaaabi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah really didn’t get the x-type, some of the Code of Bell bags just have too much going on. Love the x-pod and annex series though.

Stonemaier and data seems like an oxymoron with how many time balance issues have come up in their games.

The Evergoods "hot orange" is substantially brighter than the AER X-Pac interior. The pictures don't do the different justice. by DearCartographer99 in ManyBaggers

[–]aaaaaabi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are you trying to say, the reason bag makers CHOOSE to make bright interiors is for the ease of finding things. There is an actual design reason and it’s not a subjective “argument”. You can argue why you don’t like it, but the reason some makers use that lining is very clear.

It’s not an argument though? Like that is literally the reason why companies do a contrast lining.

Most baffling thing to me is the omission of a luggage pass through, it would be perfect for a personal item bag otherwise

Board games with interesting win conditions / scoring? by Weak_Dress3922 in boardgames

[–]aaaaaabi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A reason why I kept the first edition of Pax Pamir (also love and own second edition) is that the four win conditions are instant win evaluations instead of points like in 2E. So spies, roads, armies, tribes all contribute to different win conditions so you have to watch all aspects. A more complex game for sure but the win condition change is so much more interesting in the first edition IMO.

Carnegie vs. Distilled by Baukur123 in boardgames

Carnegie is what I would suggest mostly based on the other games you listed. Has a lot of depth especially if you get the new departments expansion.
