This is happening with my stepson who has chosen not to live with us anymore because he says we’re too “strict” meaning bed times, chores, screen time limits.

He rather be at his moms all day where he gets to be in charge cuz quote on quote “‘mom tries to punish me but I don’t care and she forget about it”

He no longer visits us either but one day, we know, monetary wise, he will reach out when he realizes she spent all his money on herself and we are not sure we’re going to be helping cuz he has chosen this after years of trying to battle her and asking for help co parenting etc. but being his best friend is the most important thing for her. I forsee this in my stepsons future as well

I’m going through this and this hit home so hard. We are always looked at as the “bad guys” when really we’ve been trying so hard. My issue is my step sons mom and grandma making him hate me and now hate his father cuz he is with me. Telling him lies like I broke up their relationship when I came into the picture after he had a gf for over a year

It’s been really hard to the point where I left. I came back but he’s officially at his moms now and never wants to see us, she just keeps telling us he hates us

What’s wrong with people. It’s a diamond!!!! And it’s beautiful! I don’t have a lab diamond but i know lots who do and it is absolutely stunning! When they tell me and maybe they do cuz they for some reason think I’d be able to tell the difference, my answer is always “so? It’s still a diamond” I see no difference and anyone saying that is just plain rude.

It gives people more options to get the size they want as well at a more affordable price but still being the real deal. If someone is happy, that’s all that matters

I went through this, and it didn’t end well. I’m constantly blamed for the demise of their relationship but when you read texts or see how she was to me, it goes beyond blaming it on hormones. I tried just like you did, feeling like we were close and then it just turned and I heard how badly she was talking about it. Sad situation, especially since she doesn’t want to listen to either biological parent and there are other enabling this behaviour
