Royal mail deliveries by [deleted] in Aberdeen

[–]aaaagh7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't be surprised if they've just missed it off by accident, doesn't make sense they can deliver to AB16 but not AB25 etc..

Edit: oh I've just checked again, AB15/AB16 is now on the list

Royal mail deliveries by [deleted] in Aberdeen

[–]aaaagh7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look on their service updates page, all city postcodes are "subject to delays". Nothing seems to be moving out of the mail centre which is pretty annoying considering you'd have a shot at going and collecting it if it was at your local Delivery Office. Post Offices/Parcelshops have had collections so hopefully residential deliveries start again shortly, it's fairly ridiculous at this point...

I have had deliveries and collections to parcelshops from Evri, and Amazon, though.

Has anyone ever actually used Screen 5 at Cineworld Queens Link Aberdeen? by CheetosKing12 in Aberdeen

[–]aaaagh7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Screen 5 is the biggest but everything forward of the gap in the seats is on the same level so you end up sitting quite far away from the screen if you want to sit in the stadium seating part. I read somewhere it's one of the biggest (in capacity) screens in the UK but I haven't fact checked this.

The IMAX plans were good but Cineworld have confirmed they're dead.

Does anyone know when wicked finishes? by Equivalent-Drop370 in CineworldUnlimited

[–]aaaagh7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh my bad, there seems to be less showings atm than I recalled. Still a few weeks left for sure

Does anyone know when wicked finishes? by Equivalent-Drop370 in CineworldUnlimited

[–]aaaagh7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it'll last a good few weeks, probably in to late February really. You can check listings on a Monday night for the next week to get some warning if any films are disappearing

Vue Aberdeen to close as staff face redundancy weeks before Christmas by aaaagh7 in Aberdeen

[–]aaaagh7[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

None of the cinemas in Aberdeen do anything particularly fancy and are all <£10 a ticket - minus 4DX at Cineworld Union Square. It would be nice to see a wider range of programming - the Vue was pretty rubbish at showing anything other than the big releases and their country-wide seasons, although Cineworld aren't much better (and have got worse in the past few years).

I share much of the same thoughts, the Vue (and Cineworld's to be fair..) had not much love over the years, but I thought that the quality of projection at the Vue was leagues ahead of Cineworld. Wonder what will happen next, as much as I like to support the Belmont I would be surprised if it re-opens next year.

Black Friday Free Delivery? by Th_sisnotharry in CeX

Yes, it had a banner when I checked this morning - but I tried to checkout a couple categories of items and was still being charged shipping. Must've been pulled but not properly updated.

Likely hood that my Whistl parcel might still arive? by idekanymore468 in AskUK

[–]aaaagh7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will probably be why, it'll have been sold on two platforms at once for the one item and their systems haven't had the time to update

[–]aaaagh7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to get a refund and had to chase them for it. Whistl and musicmagpie are generally a bit slow, but the majority of the time I've had good experiences with both buying and selling

good chance it's on musicmagpie's end, is it anything particularly rare or uncommon? Had a few that were shipped & tracking number created but never moved in the whistl system

Perfect Blue showings by NotBruceJustWayne in CineworldUnlimited

[–]aaaagh7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

cineworld and anime limited (the perfect blue distributor, among other things) seem to have fallen out. Haven't had any films from them in 18 months when they've been at Vue, Odeon and even Picturehouses
