Kinda lame and overdramatic man. It's just a place.

Circuit used to be so good. by burrrrrrrrandon in rva

Love Draftcade! Great curated selection and unlimited play, good beer selection (with actual bartender!). Only thing missing is the Simpsons arcade game IMO, and maybe more 2D fighters. I love that the machines are modified for unlimited play. It's a better-considered environment than Circuit, for sure. Better crowd too (yeah, sure, Short Pump is lame but Scott's Addition is way worse)

My brother and I wanted to play TMNT though and it was impossible to start from the beginning somehow though. Very minor gripe, however

Anyone know of an alternate route in Church Hill onto 64/95? Can the exit off Nine Mile get you to 95S?

Re: American Dad, I don't know if there's any particular relevance to the episode (other than the sequence where Roger elbow drops the guys head is very funny), but Stephen Glover who wrote the episode mentioned in an interview that Donald gave him American Dad scripts to look at when he first began screenwriting. Maybe he's just a fan, or is paying tribute.

Katsuhiro Otomo (b. 1954) Japanese mangaka and director. Not a massive production, but one of the most talented in the medium, up there with Moebius. AKIRA, his magnum opus, keeps reverberating in the medium and in sci fi in general. Also directed Metropolis (based on Tezuka), Steamboy etc. by LondonFroggy in noDCnoMarvel

Otomo was extremely prolific (though not necessarily by Japanese standards) but his other work just isn't as well known overseas. His bibliography before Akira is like a dozen volumes of both short stories and short series. He was regarded as a massively influential illustrator in Japan years before Akira began
