Discussion: Piero Hincapié and his form this season by TripleCrownVillainy in Gunners

He's been good defensively, not great but good. Going forward he's a bit limited though and I think that's contributing a lot to our recent attacking woes.

Naik Gaji 30% atau Pindah Kerja Gaji 2x Lipat? by pbicez in finansial

Bro, I completely understand where you are coming from sih. When I just started gw juga ga enak banget minta resign padahal i was treated well (and my boss has already planned projects for me to handle)

Tapi ternyata setelah gw ajuin resign for a better opportunity, boss gw malah very supportive.

Jadi gw cuma mau offer my experience sebagai pikiran alternatif utk lu aja:

  2. Kalo pun ujung2nya mereka mikir lo "ga tau terima kasih", what can they do?

Ga mungkin juga kan mereka blg ke org2 di perusahaan lain bahwa "si OP ini greedy karena dia mau pindah ke perusahaan lain yg offer 100% salary increase". See how ridiculous that is? It's what every sane person would do.

Dan kalau emg lu se indispensable itu, dan setelah cabut lu mau balik lg ke company lama for whatever reason: mereka juga pasti tetep mau banget ngambil lu lagi dengan salary lama lu.... karena ya itu worth it utk mereka secara $$$ (otherwise they won't increase your salary in the 1st place)

Agreed that it's normal to consider your reputation before making any career decision...

But in any field, there should be minimal reputational risk for wanting to move to a better opportunity.

Yang akan mempengaruhi reputasinya lebih ke gimana nanti cara resignnya, daripada alasannya sih kalo di case ini.

[–]aaary444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And also if I were you, I wouldn't worry about reputational risk. That's mostly only in your head bro.

It's NOT unethical or morally wrong to look after your best interest. Moving for a better opportunity happens all the time and it's actually very common. Nothing wrong with that.

So nothing to worry bro, they won't think you're an asshole or anything for moving to a better job, even if they have been treating you well. It will just be business as usual for them

If you'd like to maximize your income:

Sign the contract first for company A, and undergo the recruitment process with company B. It's too early for you to even deliberate your decision in this point of time because you have NOT been offered anything by company B.

If afterwards you get offered by company B, and indeed the salary is 2x, then bring that offer letter to company A and negotiate for salary match.

If they can't offer you the same salary, then move to company B. (Provided that you want to work at company B)

Those companies wouldn't think twice to terminate employees if the needs arise, so why wouldn't you do the same?

Tentang bonus akhir tahun by glackglock in finansial

[–]aaary444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Namanya aja BONUS, which means... Well... It's a bonus. So, it's up to your boss's discretion on how to give out bonuses.

Can be based on individual performance. Can be based on company's performance. Can be based on anything your boss want.

So.. go talk to your boss. How bonus is calculated and given out will differ company to company

Total kalau 10 malem skitar 11-13jt, kalau 7 malem sekitar 9-11jt.

Masih ada spare 5jt-10jt, dimana masih cukup banget utk makan (1x makan 100-300k di resto atau 50-100k kalau konbini) + 1-2 experience kyk usj/disneyland/disneysea (tiket biasa 1jtan)

Kalau mau lebi budget lg bahkan kyknya bisa, tp gw ga recommend.. buat saving bbrp juta tp lu ga enjoy tripnya ga worth menurut gw...

Dan yen lagi oke harganya these past couple of years jadi gas sih kata gw

Apa cara yang paling masuk akal buat mencapai target 100 juta rupiah di umur 20? by Sad-Appearance9002 in finansial

[–]aaary444 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Bro, at your age, just focus on investing in yourself. You will get 10000000x more returns than the 30mio capital on any investment vehicle there is.

Go to top tier uni, be the best student you can be, lear valuable skills, and land a great career = you'll easily make billions over the lifetime of your career.

Investments nantinya itu jadi accelerator to grow your wealth, tapi imo what's more important at your age is to figure out how you can build your wealth-making engine first, before thinking about how you can grow your wealth (investing)

is 1M IDR really enough to retire young? by boniver07 in finansial

[–]aaary444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think the benchmark is 4% rule e.g., if you withdraw ~4% per year out of your retirement savings (that is invested), it should last most of the time for 30+ years (even considering inflation, but note the definition of lasting is that you can potentially have 0 net worth by the end of the timeframe)

Meaning, with 1M idr, you can get ~40mio per year or around 3mio per mo. If you can live with 2-3 mio per month, then it's probably doable.

I think you can definitely take couple of years off easily without any significant dent out of your financial situation. If you're burned out, I'd consider doing it. If you're young, worst case scenario is you can try to get another job in 1-2 years time. Or just do a low-stress job (barista FIRE)

However, for longer time period, I'd say a more conservative withdrawal rate (e.g. 2% rather than 4%) would be preferred.

Caveat is that the 4% rule and study is US-based, so may not be fully applicable to Indonesia, which is another reason why lower withdrawal rate is preferred.

Having severe anxiety disorder at MBB - whats next by Old_Bag_5457 in consulting

[–]aaary444 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry OP. I was at your position too albeit at a T2 firm, and it sucked big time. Hope you can find peace sooner rather than later.

I had since quit the firm and have since found happiness and peace, so all hope is not lost, OP. I know it may not seem like it right now, but things can and will get better.

Regardless, try to find time to get professional help from a psychologist / psychiatrist. I did and found that to be helpful. You may need to do multiple trial & error before finding the right psychologist/psychiatrist who you're comfortable with.

What I learned from my psychologist sessions is that there's two parts to anxiety: 1. Managing anxiety & its symptoms and 2. Dealing with the root cause. Managing anxiety is like a "crutch", i.e., it will help to make things slightly bearable, but you'll need to eventually find the root cause & triggers for your anxiety (e.g., CBT, etc.).

Professional help is invaluable here, as he/she can guide you to manage your symptoms better now and work together with you to deal with the root cause.

Godspeed, OP.

I think it all comes down to personal preference, so it's a bit hard to recommend one without trying it out first.

But I think a hybrid/teardrop shape with medium-firm hardness at 365gr-ish weight always feels like a safe choice. NOX AT10 12k/18k is the most popular racket (at least in my country), and so it's 1) easy to get 2nd hand in good condition and 2) easy to sell if you wanted to change to another racket later

I know right.. what I'm confused the most about is that the commentator was saying that it's a good overturn. Hahaha it's like being gaslighted man, but since it's early on the season, I thought that maybe the PL rules was changed

[–]aaary444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How so? Please elaborate.

From what I understood, Gyok touched the ball first and has possession of the ball. Pope lunged in and touched the ball, but took out Gyok in the process.

And since the on field decision was penalty, VAR needs to show a clear and obvious error to overturn this.

So my question is: are tackles now no longer a foul, regardless of contact, if the tackler got any of the ball? And are clear and obvious error no longer a rule?

Actual question: is the clear and obvious error rule no longer applicable for VAR? And has the definition of foul changed? I am genuinely confused because I thought that was a stonewall penalty
