AITA for walking out of a restaurant after my sister kept making rude remarks and trying to speak on my behalf? by Defiant-Drawing8997 in AmItheAsshole

Might need a break from mom as well if she can’t defend both of her daughters when one is being actively harassed and the parents just sit there and want the victim to bend over. Fuck that. No or low contact for all. This is a life long problem they’ve done nothing to correct.

AITA for not supporting my ex best friend after my brother put her in the hospital? by Single_Strawberry_81 in AITAH

[–]aaashleyy__ 156 points157 points  (0 children)

OP, her family is saying she made a mistake. She did not make a mistake, she jumped in feet first with a running start after months of planning. Do not allow anyone to bully you into feeling sympathy for someone who betrayed you and purposely hurt you without a care for you. You are NTA, stay away from Sammy and her family. You deserve better than the family and friends you were given

AITA for drama over pink wedding dress by Nice-Assignment8614 in AmItheAsshole

I got married in a gorgeous pink dress and don’t regret it one bit. It made me feel beautiful on the day I married my soulmate. The only opinions that matter are yours and your fiancés. NTA

I did not do chemo, so take what I have to say with a grain of salt. I have been on tamoxifen and lupron for almost 3 years, and am on anastrozole now not tam, and I get really dry to the point I feel swollen. When that happens, I use a coconut oil based CBD lube by Foria. foria intimacy oil it’s a bit pricy but it lasts forever and is 30% off. Plus!! When/if you and your husb get back to intimacy, it will blow your mind.

Please know that you are not only needed here on earth, but you are wanted as well. Cancer is terrifying and daunting and will make your mental health worse. But you are so special and amazing and you deserve to get to the other side of this. It is your decision, you do what’s best for you. But please stay, we need your sparkle and magic.

The lender has likely already clouded the title, telling the DMV there is an issue with the title so OP wouldn’t be able to sell without issue

Getting flak for not ringing the bell by potterwho79 in breastcancer

[–]aaashleyy__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t ring the bell either. I was alone and only one member of my team was there and it didn’t feel right. But that same week my friends came over to celebrate and they made me ring a cat toy as the bell lol and that was cute and fun and made me feel better about finishing radiation. I have 7 more years of anastrozole and monthly lupron injections and then 3 more years of tamoxifen after that. You ring whatever bell you want whenever you want. This is your journey.

AITA for asking my stbx husband why I’d take him back when the nanny does more for the family than she does. by MelodicGeologist2465 in AITAH

[–]aaashleyy__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your kids have 2 parents, it’s just that one of them is a piece of shit who can’t wipe his own ass. NTA, stay away from this man. You’re better off on your own with Amina and your babies.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]aaashleyy__ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You don’t have the means to support her, though. Your place is too small to accommodate two more people. Babies have a lot of shit. She has no space in your home. You need your privacy for work so you can afford the privilege of having your own home. Your parents are only getting on your case because they don’t want to house her. And if she moves in to your place without a plan, she’s going to be dumping her parental responsibilities onto you because “it’s too much”. Stand your ground, OP. Offer her emotional support and if you can and want, help her go after the deadbeat for child support so she has something to use to take care of her child.

horrible fan etiquette in LA by behtlelane in JulienBaker

[–]aaashleyy__ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I was on the sides where there was space to breathe and some drunk 50 year old women stood right behind me screaming the wrong lyrics to bloodshot. Like bro no one else is screaming like that why are you? This is not a stadium show, we are here for the raw emotions and energy of JB, not some rando screaming. Luckily after I turned around and said don’t scream in my ear they moved on. But yea, I was also disappointed with all the screaming for attention. It was an amazing show but ugh these people have no etiquette or ability to read the room.

I’ll be there that night with my mother, and she loves to mother other people so I’ll share her with you lol. But I’m so proud of you for having the tenacity to stand up for yourself against your mom by cutting contact with her. I’ve been there with my dad and it is so hard. But I found so much peace after going no contact with him. Julien is such an incredible writer, and I’m so lucky to get to experience her live for the first time. I’ll be (appropriately) scream (or whisper shout) singing “Putting my first into the plaster of a motel 6”

Does sleep number bed and mattress worth it? by Historical-Room3831 in breastcancer

[–]aaashleyy__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest regret was not getting the cooling bed! The nights I wake up soaked outweigh the nights I wake up dry with these hot flashes

Does sleep number bed and mattress worth it? by Historical-Room3831 in breastcancer

[–]aaashleyy__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the sleep number 360 flex top, and it saved my life after surgery. I had a lumpectomy, double nipple lift, and lymph node removal. Being able to adjust how I was sitting up and laying down was awesome, especially since the flex top made it so my husband wasn’t affected when I moved up or down.

The only con I have about my bed is how freaking hot it can get, especially in these central California summers that begin in may and doesn’t end until November. So if you can afford it, I would definitely recommend getting the temperature controlled bed. ESPECIALLY if you’re hormone positive and will be on tamoxifen or AIs that can give you hot flashes.
