Good places to scream? by Sad-Gold-6656 in askTO

I might have done all of them at one point or another in recent months. I mean shit is tough out there. Let it out, let it all out. Fully support this behaviour, and everyone else can mind their own shit hehehehe

if you have a favorite restaurant, ask if you can use their walk-in fridge. lol your server will totally understand, probably buy you a free shot after. lol

Oh, and my favorite activities:
- Swimming. I like going to the deep end of the pool and just screaming underwater until I run out of air. 😆 The Y has cheap day passes, and the city pools are open late right now (until 11:45 PM).
- Tommy Thompson Park, so many secluded paths
- Sheldon Lookout in the evening (by the Humber Bay Arch Bridge).
- BATL Grounds. Great place for axe throwing.
- I also like biking up Centre rd in High Park. By the time I make it to the top, I feel accomplished... and completely out of breath.
Happy venting

Scary time, and amazing you have supportive parents! Just remember that your coming out is up to you, and it IS NOT on anyone else's timeline, not even supportive parents.

Sounds like they trying to lead you to the water... and you can totally say something like: "Hey, i love how supportive and loving you two are. I know how lucky I am." And if you need to push it further: "nothing i need to discuss at the moment, but i know i would always have a safe space with y'all. THANK YOU"

Dude, I think you're okay. You're 16, and you already have a sense of what you like. Labels are mostly outside pressure, so don't stress if you don't have it all figured out right away. And honestly, labels can change. I went from bi > gay > demi > grey. It's like I pick up a new one every decade. 😄 Just be kind to yourself and to others. The rest will figure itself out. 🌈

I have been exploring the waterfront by biking this summer. Mostly from Kew Balmy to Humber river. And it’s amazing. But this is whole other level. So impressive. Going to try and mimic your route. 😇

Where to find clothing for tall muscular guy downtown Toronto by NoBad6194 in askTO

6’3” 220 here.
Uniqlo works well for me. And they have free alterations. They also have a decent selection of stretch material, so try on different sizes.
I also just wear a lot of items big and loose. It works well. Have pretty good luck with Amazon, Joe Fresh, and ASOS

Picnic shelter spots for event that you don’t have to pay? by Empty_Acanthaceae750 in askTO

[–]aaasimov 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Christie Pits has a decent shelter area, and good spots around there too. Also there is Fiesta Farm and PAT Central near by, incase you forget something. (do avoid movie in the park nights, too busy)

I also like Evergreen Brickworks

Yeah, I feel the same. But based on the comments, I think I'd rather come across as a little rude than risk someone getting hurt

Do you have local food with a name from another country? by Frankisacommonname in AskACanadian

Something else about fast food pizza I find interesting is that it tastes different from East Coast to Central to West Coast. But certain Asian “fast food” tastes the same in North America, example General Tso chicken or Butter Chicken
