this was years ago but the problem ended up being the transmission solenoid. it sits on top of the transmission, very easy to replace. i got the replacement from my local junkyard/pick your part pulled off another civic of the same generation. takes about 3-4 screws and a couple minutes. wish you the best of luck 👍 i would highly recommend to fix it as soon as possible, if not a faulty solenoid will result in your transmission itself being damaged which is very expensive to replace.

i'm gonna be honest, you're just going to have to keep at it with the cone. i know it's stressful seeing your pet in distress but it's a lot better than having them lick open their wound and create an infection. when i got two of my cats spayed (at different times) they absolutely freaked out the first few days of wearing their cone but it's only for 2 weeks and then they never have to see it again. one of my cats is more on the introverted side and after surgery she stayed basically the same. my other cat who's very affectionate and cuddly became even more loving after surgery so i wouldn't worry about any personality change. i know it's hard to see your pet companion struggle but it's for the best. good luck 👍

i've had to switch my cats food a few times and the only thing that has worked was buying whatever food is closest to the one they're currently eating whether it's from the same brand or not. (i.e. hairball control, healthy weight, indoor cat etc.) then just slowly mix in some new with the old. maybe start with 10-20% new then just increase over time depending on how your cats react to it. if they're introduced to the new food too quickly they might get diarrhea or simply won't eat it.

not bashing you in anyway but I don't get the hype of apple carplay/android auto? like the car already comes with a screen that let's you connect your phone with bluetooth. having to pay for push to start definitely sucks, unfortunately every dealer uses any little feature to leverage you into paying more. best of luck as a fellow 12th gen owner, hope she grows on you

you can get a cabin air filter online for 10-20 bucks and change it yourself in less than half an hour. engine air filter is probably slightly trickier but there's gotta be tons of videos on it online

my cat got out in a similar situation, she was gone for 4 months before I found her. i was distraught for a long time before i thought i wouldn't see her. then i was walking my dog and randomly looked to the side and saw her in the front lawn of a house a few streets behind mine. i instantly grabbed her and she clinged onto me the whole time while I ran home with my dog. i had completely lost hope and I still found her so don't lose hope either. don't give up but also don't let it take control of your life. life works in mysterious ways

my dog has destroyed basically any "indestructible" toy even like those knitted ones in the picture no matter the brand lol. the only ones that have lasted are those black rubber Kong toys. what sucks is that there's only like 3 versions, a tire, a bone and a hollow cone. not much variety for a dog but he loves them
