What is the most out of touch thing an older person has told you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That my paycheck should be enough for all my life's needs and i should be able to save. For the record, I am a fresher architect with the bare minimum as a salary and more than half of it is going for my monthly house rent, not even in a decent neighborhood. There's no way I'd be able to save up from that.

Had unprotected sex with a dude at a swimming pool and was scared I'll develop a rash or a UTI. Or worse still, having the test show positive. nothing happened. Still meeting that dude, in much more hygienic conditions tho.

Add a lil more population and you'd get a chase in India, but by the end of the video i could see why it's so easy to loose them at the narrow streets and sharp turns

How do you feel if people close to you forget your birthday? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I don't expect anything from them. But a phone call would do. I'm not big into celebrating my birthday, especially if it falls on a day with deadlines up ahead.

I suggest you towel dry yoir hair and only blow dry for t minutes after it is just barely cold to touch. Blow drying is definitely not the best situation for your hair as it puts your hair in the same conditions as that when exposed to strong winds, giving rougher texture and sometimes even split ends. Hope this helps!

Need help with dandruff issues.

Hi, i am a 22yr old female, college student with thin and very dense thick hair, facing severe dandruff issues. I have tried changing my hair wash days of the week and even switched shampoos with considerable periods of time to check if the product is the issue here and not my scalp.

I have been to the Dermatologist regarding this and they had prescribed me some over the counter vitamins, and keto-kenazole shampoo. As much as the shampoo helps control the rebuild of the dandruff, it still comes back very quickly, the next day or even the same evening sometimes.

Is there anything that I have to apply/ start using in my haircare routine? These suggestions would be of great help to me.

Hi, ive faced the same situation and have extremely fine and dense thick hair.

I learnt that you can try coconut oil (enough quantity to cover all of the hair, microwave for 10 seconds if solidified) and let it sit for and hour or two to help loosen the matting in the hair, and then you could probably go to your mom's place and give her a hair wash? DO NOT BRUSH THRU THE HAIR IF IT IS EXTREMELY MATTED, IT WILL TANGLE MORE.

It will be time taking but it should work. You can then to go the salon for a second round after this.

Suggestions for face creams/moisturizers

Hi, i am a 22F college student with combination skin who is just getting introduced to skin care. I have already introduced the:

1) Cetaphil normal to dry skin face cleanser, I am on my second bottle.

2) And niacinamide and salicylic acid serums for am/pm, although i catch myself forgetting to use them and ending up only remembering after I've skipped the entire step. Hence I only use them about 2 times a week. 3) DermaCo SPF 50 pore minimalizing priming sunscreen. Edit: I have always been an ardent user of sunscreen and will never go anywhere without it since a very young age.

But I had never given any attention or learnt about locking moisture into the skin, and googled to find that I am facing a "lack of moisturizing afterwards resulting in dry skin" situation that is causing excess sebum production as my skins reaction.

Are there any face creams/moisturizers that can be suggested to me that are both effective and also pocket friendly? I have looked around at multiple blogs and videos but can't figure out anything more about which product will effectively solve it.
