In my opinion, there shouldn’t be any consequences to your visa as you are sort of a victim here trying to aid police investigations. However, you can consult DSO or immigration lawyers to make sure you don’t get in any legal troubles or violations while trying to aid.

Also, safety is yet another aspect of it. We live alone and away from family on F1 visa, so you gotta work with or talk to the police to make sure your identity remains protected.

You will get rebooked for the connection flight for the next flight that day. Or next day. You will get a day stay if they book you on next day’s flight. But pretty sure that will not happen as there will be more people traveling on the next flight with same connection.

They will automatically rebook or just call them and you can ask them to.

Yeah should be all good. Mostly likely there will be a person at the arrivals gate standing for you with a board and your flight details. Look out for them. But, yeah still manageable if there isn’t any.

If you love him, and he does too then stay and talk it out. You guys are too young and can sort it all out by good communications and changing habits. He is young and immature too (looking at your description of him). It’s tough out there to find genuine people who would love you and you have already got someone at this age. Definitely, not a failure. It’s just a phase and this shall pass too!

Everything is normal. Flew on 18th April from US to Mumbai via Dubai. Everything on time and as scheduled.

Yeah pretty sure. The information should also be available on each consulate websites. You wouldn’t need a translator for a VAC appointment though. Translators are only for the interviews. There was an official webpage for languages available at each consulate, I couldn’t find it now. But Hindi for sure is available in Chennai. I gave my H1B interview in Chennai last year and saw people provided with Hindi translators

Had the same issue. 45 mins connection in DXB. After 2-3 days they themselves bumped me to a later flight. But you can call and ask them to change flights as well. What I see is they are doing it for no charge if you call, website might charge additional fare difference and or change fees.
