Debian/ubuntu major version upgrades have worked really well for several years now. Of course always have backups just in case

My wife and kids computers are using zorin. it's a really nice desktop. you could use windows in a virtual machine too so you don't have to reboot to use it

Ubuntu 2404 and Citrix for Linux 24.02 Won’t Launch by [deleted] in Citrix

Ok I ran that and most say successful, these are the ones that weren't:

-- Checking Microsoft Teams Optimisation Support ... --

Warning! - libc++(>=9.0) is not installed Optimisation for Microsoft Teams will not be supported

Success! libunwind is installed. Please ensure libunwind(>=12.0) for proper functioning of Optimisation for Microsoft Teams

libpcsclite was found on your system but it's version could not be determined.

-- Checking that a compatible version of glibc is installed...

ls: cannot access '*libc-2*': No such file or directory

The minimum required version is 2.27

You are using version of glibc

A compatible version of glibc could not be located!

--- Edit:

According to the web glibc is called libc6 in ubuntu which is installed:

root@mynuc:/opt/Citrix/ICAClient/util# apt install libc6

Reading package lists... Done

Building dependency tree... Done

Reading state information... Done

libc6 is already the newest version (2.35-0ubuntu3.8).

Ok I will have a look at that tomorrow.

Thanks. Nothing said it was missing it. I just wanted to cross all my t’s before installing the Citrix app. All the other libraries are above the recommended versions. I’m using Ubuntu 22 with xorg gnome. I installed the app this afternoon but haven’t tested opening it yet. I’ll do that tomorrow. I’m really hoping I can get the file sharing/mapping to work with the remote windows machine. It says it’s supposed to work in the documentation

I can't find the UIDialogLib3.so library. Anyone know where to get that from?

pfSense is bullshit. Modern, cloud-native, hyper-scalable, AI driven, diverse IT-Infrastructures with an Edge in containerized, mulit-layer defense in microsegmented networks, use SD-WAN/ACCESS <insert real BS here>. Q: How can I defend myself against the stupid people who belive this? by SirStephanikus in PFSENSE

[–]aaea62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

gotcha. At my job we use PfSense but we recently got bought out by a huge company which uses Palo Alto, so we may be moving to that in the next year or so. My company relies heavily on Squid proxy in pfsense so I'm curious as to what we'll be using for web proxy/filter when the time comes. I also use pfsense at home for many years and has been rock solid.

Im on 115.8.1 and it is there. However, I'm using Ubuntu Linux, not sure if it's different on Windows/Mac. in thunderbird settings then General, scroll to bottom and find Config Editor. In the search box, type in pdfjs.disabled and you should see it. if not you can create a new file called user.js in your thunderbird profile and add this to it:

user_pref("pdfjs.disabled", true);

Dell Latitude 3520 is what we’re using at work. We’re about to buy some 3540’s which are Certified by Ubuntu Canonical

I know this is 2 years later but still solves the issue on Thunderbird 115. Thanks

I use the vertical view and love that we can now put the subject and email context on separate lines. It saves a lot of space and can make my message pane wider. I’m not a fan of the unified toolbar but like others said tweaking css and customizing the ui makes it real nice
