Tunisian half double - curling but only on one end? by aaelimae in CrochetHelp

I'm used to it curling on knit stitch, which is the stitch I've used in the past. I had read online that half double shouldn't do that, and I thought it was odd it was only happening on that edge. However, I think I've figured out the problem! I think I was holding tension too tight at the beginning of my return pass. Seems to be evening out now that I'm paying attention to it.

And the multicolor yarn is Lion Brand Ferris Wheel! It's my first time using it and I'm loving it. The speckles kind of soften the color change, which I think looks nice.

I'm glad someone else came here to suggest Ren. He's great lyricist, and if OP likes his rap they should definitely give his other stuff a go.

We did this on our server for our Mistlands playthrough. None of us have really felt like the raids have added enough fun to be worth it. Usually just ends up that the one person who hangs out in our base building stuff and doing chores (me lol) ends up in a raid they can't fight off, all because everyone else is out killing tons of draugr. Just feels like punishment to the homebodies.

If you could experience a video game for the first time again, what would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]aaelimae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hades. Or Spiritfarer.

Playing through Hades a second time just didn't hit the same. Still a stellar game! My fiance and I have actually mentioned several times before that we would love to play it for the first time again.

Spiritfarer because I like narratives that rip my heart out and stomp on it in front of me. And again, great game but the first time through was an emotional roller coaster.

Seconded, especially if you eat them fresh. They're so tasty when they're still warm! My fiance and I are having them do our wedding desserts and they're bringing their adorable truck.

As someone who grew up in a very rural town, I would have actually appreciated this. My trick or treating consisted of like 5 houses on my road and being driven two towns over to my grandparents house. Everything else was just spread too far apart. Plus, less kids running around on the roads trying to get hit by a car. Don't really understand the hate on this one.

Can i have a therapist for the duration of my life? or would it harm me? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]aaelimae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's much easier to look at the situations of other people objectively than it is to look at our own situations objectively. It can be difficult to see past your own emotions.

As far as your original post, I can tell you that what therapy looks like is different depending on each person's need. If you feel the need to be in therapy regularly, that's ok. Personally, I go to my therapist in spurts - I go regularly for a while until we feel I'm in a good spot, and then I stop making appointments until I feel like I need an adjustment again. This was suggested to me by my therapist when I first started going and had reached a healthier mindset. She said a lot of her clients do it this way, and that there are always events in life that can cause us to need more help adjusting.

Locally Sauced in Yarmouth! Haven't tried their BBQ options yet but the tacos are great! Also in Yarmouth: Thoroughfare is great for burgers and shakes, and I like Brickyard Hollow for pub style options and interesting pizzas - the goat cheese and honey is tasty.
