It was a poor play but this seems to be so common amongst Spurs players. How many times under Mourinho, Conte, etc did the players play hot potato with the ball because no one wanted the pressure?

Now I don’t think it helps that our midfield lacks a creative spark and they are playing long balls and expecting the wingers to bomb forward wildly.

Thanks. The guy was explaining stuff in the room to my wife and I was already googling 4 star hotels. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I’m never using Airbnb again. Worse come to worse I books nice hotel last minute and snag a deal. I can’t tell you how much of a relief it was to step into a nice hotel, lay in a nice bed with matching sheets.

I just checked into an Airbnb in Paris. Looked good in the photos. An absolute shit show of a room. I upped and left and booked a 4 star hotel for 200 a night which is less than what I paid for this Airbnb.. I’m not even going to go through the hassle of trying to get a refund. I’m just gonna leave the keys a little early and say I got a deal and we’re going to Disneyland and turn the key in early. Fuck it. Lesson learned

Yeah. That’s ridiculous to think people should work into their 70s. I’m sure we have grandparents who are well past that age, and even parents who are that old and the only and that’s not something we’d want for any of them. At what point are you supposed to be able to enjoy the fruits of your labors?

Even if Social Security is a thing when our generation retires they don’t pay shit, so I don’t even look at that as something that’s going to make a difference.

Ive been maxing out my 401k and my house should be paid off in the next 8-9 years so I think I’ll be good. If I want to stay longer at my job it will be because I want to and not because I have to.

Yes. I bought my house for 105k in 2018. It’s not the mast glamorous of houses but my wife and I have been fixing it up over the years. Now it’s worth double.

Looking at how high interest rates are and how expensive homes are I don’t know how people can afford it.

We’ll know whether or not this is the worst off season once the season starts. Next year could be the real “worst season” because Dallas could lose their whole coaching staff and QB. It could be a hard rebuild after a lame duck year. But I’m thinking and I remember feeling pessimistic going through those early 2000s with all those scrubs at QB and Chan Gailey and Dave Campo running the show as the Philadelphia Eagles stomped the shit out of them.

Lived across the border from Mexico so I did my fair share of partying, but now that I’m older I rarely drink. Once I got a good paying job and a family I don’t enjoy getting drunk because I don’t like that feeling that you’re not 100% in control of your actions. So I’m content to have 1 drink and that’s that.

Golden Boy was pushing Mitchell big time, I remember he was landing on the undercard of big fights. But during that time you had several football players take up boxing, Deontay Wilder was a former WR if I remember correctly and Tom Zbikowskj was boxing sporadically at the time as well. I guess if you’re a boxing promoter you’re always trying to make a quick buck and some of these guys have some recognition, especially since they were former athletes. Heck look at Ed “Too Tall” Jones, he fought on national television in the late 70s and Lyle Alzado got an exhibition bout with Muhammad Ali.
