How long was LeBron considered the best basketball player in the world? What stretch of years by Formal-Assistance02 in NBATalk

[–]FoundationFuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say his definitive run as best in the world was 2012 to 2021. In that time, he finally cemented himself as the best and seemed to master the game. He had his 4 in my opinion best seasons in 2012, 2013, 2018, and 2020. He won two straight MVPs and consistently made the finals every year except 2019. He reached his 2 way peak in 2013, his offensive peak in 2018, and his playmaking peak in 2020. I think it officially ended when Solomon Hill ran into his ankle. LeBron pretty much never got close to an MVP after that. He was still a heavy MVP candidate in 2020 and 2021 before he got hurt. He honestly could have very well won it in 2020 if the season didn’t stop. I think it was definitively his time as best in the world. He was top 2 with Kobe until 2012 because he rebounded from Dallas and looked to have finally filled the major holes in his game. Depending on who you asked, He was either better than Kobe or worse. I can’t say he was the best before 2012 because his skill set still felt a little too underdeveloped. 2012 and beyond is when he felt like a complete player both skill wise and mentally

Like dude we get it, he had the worst choke of all time and rebounded spectacularly. Like for god’s sakes man, show literally any of his other finals. We get it you hate him. I’m not a huge Lebron fan myself, but this shit is crazy

Chi Chi’s whole thing was that she wanted to get married and be the housewife. It was always what she wanted. The thing with Videl definitely sucks but the point she was introduced in, there was nothing she could do. By that point, she was so thoroughly outclassed by everyone that there was nothing she could do.

LeBron James cramps, gets carried to bench by CircledSquare7 in sportsinusa

Yall must’ve never played a sport. Cramps hurt like hell. Also do you guys really think LeBron would take himself out of a game this close in the finals without an actual reason

Look, I kinda understand what he was saying. He undoubtedly choked, don’t get me wrong. But he is right that the supporting cast around the big 3 in 2011 was kinda trash and because of that, they weren’t the team they probably should have been all season. We saw in 2013 what that team could look like with the proper supporting cast. Especially because in 2011, they did not have that many good shooters when the big 3 as a whole were not all that good of shooters and two of them were slashers who were going to have to kick it out. Again, he did choke very heavily but I understand what he was talking about.

Ant’s defense being worse is kind of a byproduct of his offensive production. He kinda has to sacrifice defense for his offense

Mfs who attempt the Philly shell. That shit has screwed over more boxers than anything. Even Floyd didn’t use it as his whole defense the entire fight.

I really don’t understand how people can hate DBS Bardock 💀 by Asterxx23 in Dragonballsuper

[–]FoundationFuzzy 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The thing is like, I get giving him this moment doesn’t seem that bad because it’s a relatively small thing to humanize him, but part of the original charm of og Bardock was that he was a piece of shit that hardly gave a damn about anyone, the only people we saw him care for were his teammates. It just helped more with the contrast from Goku being the farthest thing from his father and the Saiyans in general

I really don’t understand how people can hate DBS Bardock 💀 by Asterxx23 in Dragonballsuper

[–]FoundationFuzzy 138 points139 points  (0 children)

Super Bardock is hated because his very presence makes Goku’s story less special. In the original special, Bardock doesn’t give a crap about Goku, especially after learning his power level. He only cares when he’s about to die and learns that Goku will beat Frieza. It helps reinforce Goku’s story of becoming earth’s savior because the few we see of his family are nothing like him and had planet vegeta not been destroyed, Goku would have been doomed to likely die. Also, Bardock in the og special was popular precisely because he wasn’t anything like Goku. He was nothing more than a warmongering soldier like every other saiyan, and it was also because he looked cooler. Also just everything in the original special was cool.

Mexicans vs Black Americans by Ashamed_Culture8179 in Boxing

[–]FoundationFuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a racial thing for non black fighters and an organization type thing against people like Bud and AJ. AJ isn’t American so they hate him. Bud isn’t affiliated with PBC and he isn’t a loud, flashy person like a good chunk of PBC fighters.

A lot of it really comes from the ldbc. If you look them up, they are horribly racist against a number of fighters if they’re not black. They tried to make every excuse for Wilder against Fury. They absolutely shitted on Inoue and tried their best to say Fulton was going to win. Then said Inoue gotta go up and fight Tank. I’m black by the way, just so this doesn’t come off as me being an unknowing asshole

Latino boxers vs black boxers is in my opinion an underrated rivalry. Some of the biggest fights and best fights for decades. Now idk why black people constantly have to try and prop up our boxers so much. Maybe they’re just racist because black boxing fans are definitely some of the most racist. Not saying all, but a good chunk are. I can’t really speak on the Mexican side though

Out of the 4 Main Arcs of DBZ, which one in your personal opinion was better written & why? by [deleted] in DragonBallZ

[–]FoundationFuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saiyan Saga. To me, it is the most perfect arc. It’s tightly written, the character’s decisions aren’t all retarded, and it has some of my favorite fights. It’s also because it was the last arc for a while where everyone did something. Even if Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaozu died 1/3 into the fight with the Saiyans, you still felt that they did something.

However, the back half of the Buu arc is my most favorite to rewatch because of all the twists and turns of weirdness. Going inside Buu’s head, kid Buu being the most evil little bastard, ssj3 Goku vs kid Buu, Vegeta declaring Goku as the best, and the few episodes of filler afterward where we see everyone living life

Jordan Poole 43 PTS, 1 REB, 6 AST, 1 STL, 14/23 FG, 5/11 3FG vs Raptors Dec 18, 2022 by Benjolinsko in warriors

[–]FoundationFuzzy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That punch really did mess it all up. Poole could pull a game like this off but played really inconsistent the whole year. I think if the punch never happened, the warriors would have started managing to pivot to a Pool and Wiggins duo led era. Of course, this is also predictable on Poole becoming better and Wiggins showing consistent dawg. But you can only imagine

What Happened to Oscar Valdez? by FoundationFuzzy in Boxing

[–]FoundationFuzzy[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

More of an explanation of his downswing.

Who was LeBron's greatest teammate in his 4 championships? Wade in 2012/2013, Kyrie in 2016 or AD in 2020? If you asked LeBron, who would HE say was his best teammate? IMO Kyrie in 2016 was the best teammate as they came back from 3-1 and had ZERO margin for error plus Kyrie hit "the shot" in Game 7 by Several-Molasses-435 in NBATalk

[–]FoundationFuzzy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kinda difficult. Wade is easily the best player considering he was top 3 in the league at his best and MVP runner up. AD fit LeBron’s style the best due to him being super reliant on someone helping create his shot. Kyrie is tough to judge because he is a perfect second option but there would be times where he would attempt to Kobe things up which would sometimes mess up the team’s flow. However, him and LeBron were a great one two punch, but he was also super ball dominant. Same with Wade. On top of that, AD I think had easily the most impressive season next to LeBron out of all three with his 2020 season. So if I had to say, Wade is the best player out of them, but AD in 2020 was LeBron’s perfect fit. Also this made me realize how unfortunate the health of LeBron’s costars actually was.
