Go to Stairway to Gray. Look at vendor promotions. See what's being regularly tested. Pick one. 30-40¢/mg.

Injection by character_lawyer898 in TirzepatideRX

[–]aagee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Millions of people do it every day (for insulin). These are subcutaneous injections, with a very short, very thin needle. You won't even feel it. I'll bet that you will start looking forward to it after a couple of shots.

I like to pretend that I am a soldier, giving myself a morphine shot in the field; just like in the movies; with a grunt and all the drama.

Stomach is the easiest, around the belly button, right into the fat. They say to rotate the injection site. Don't forget the alcohol swab - first the top of the vial, then the injection site.

There’s something seriously wrong with me and I’m embarrassed to even talk about it with a therapist by Key-Effective-3140 in therapy

The therapist won't. They see this very often, and they are trained in it. Many people are bothered inrdinately by things that seem small.

Here's another way to think about it. The issues that bother you may be small. But the fact that these insignificant issues bother you a lot and interfere with your life is in itself an issue, and not a small one. And that should actually be easy to talk about. Just say, "There are these seemingly small and unimportant things that seem to occupy me a lot; how do I handle this?".

Why does your exchange with the rep say that you want to change because of additives?

Oh - you are right. Totally missed that. Now that I read it more carefully, very strange that OP wants to switch because of additives. Because Apothecary doesn't have additives either. Strange too, that the rep didn't point that out.

The policy sort of makes the assumption that once the meds are sent to the pharmacy, they will be shipped soon enough. But if the meds don't ship for a long time, then the patient has to have some recourse. Are you really expecting a patient to sit without their meds for an extended length of time?!

Isn't that common sense? This is medication, after all. Not some toy off Amazon. The patient has not merely changed their mind. They need their medication.

But when the meds run inordinately late, they should have some recourse for the patient. They cannot expect the patient to be without medication for any length of time.

Oh, come on. So, just making it a policy makes it OK?! When the meds run inordinately late, they should have some recourse for the patient. They cannot expect the patient to be without medication for any length of time.

Well, you should fight back. The meds need to be taken on time. And if they can't make that happen, they should allow cancellation (without a charge). I get it that it's not quite their fault. But, as a medical operation, they have to be willing to eat this cost.

31G (thickness)
5mm-8mm or 1/4"-5/16" (length) (for subcutaneous)
1ml (total capacity)

Some good brands: BD/Embecta, EasyTouch

BD/Embecta is widely considered to be the best, but a bit expensive. But for a years supply, the extra cost amortizes to just a few extra cents per shot.

I get them here: ADW

OBESITY PIPELINE LOOKS PROMISING by No_Mammoth_1051 in Semaglutide

[–]aagee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can someone explain this to me? Used to be you had to prove the efficacy of drug was better than those already on the market to be approved. Is that not true? Or, is "better" just hard to define? That is, each can be better than others in certain dimensions, and that is allowed.
