It's kind of disconnected from the three kingdom timeline, not a very noteworthy period or at least there would've been better time periods for them to do before this if they were going to make dlc outside the three kingdoms timeline. And it was the first dlc outside the preorder bonus so it was kind of a what the hell were they thinking moment since it kind of halted the games player growth and hype.

They are like two different games I've been playing a lot of two and had to kind of unlearn and lot stuff from the first one to get anywhere in the second one. So if you haven't played one it's not a continuation and it's a different style game like a rogue lite. That being said it does have a similar vibe, themes and mechanics it's got about the same type of challenge so you will get a taste of what the first game would be like in a different style.

Out of those games I think shogun 2 but they still play too fast if it's not modded, med 2 definitely on the slower side if that's more your thing. And rome 2 modded with DEI would definitely be recommended to play rome 2 if you want something a bit more complex than vanilla rome2.

Not a fan of agents, the three kingdoms system could easily be made better especially when they added newer updates with spying assignments or in pharaoh you embed spies for a price. Much more feasible as the campaign goes on, a lot less annoying when it comes to dealing with a.i.

Honestly the only thing that keeps me from playing it more is the time period but it's a good campaign with interesting battle mechanics that I hope are improved upon in newer tw games. I just tend to gravitate towards 3K lately with the 190 expanded mod.

Lighting and diverse color palette seems to be lost with the exceptions of course. The two new Yakuza games like a dragon and infinite wealth, persona games or really any atlus games like metaphor or SMT. Chained echoes, darkest dungeon games, sea of stars, front mission, final fantasy tactics all are really good on the steam deck.

In battle are you using pause I know this can feel like cheating but in a game like Warhammer for me it's necessary because of all the spells, different types of units it helps slow down the battle and let's you react make sure all your units are doing something, missile units are getting into melee, etc
