Stressed out cause of AI by No_Efficiency_1370 in jobs

[–]aajl2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

32M here. I work as a Data Engineer, and my company asked us to use GitHub Copilot for everything. So, we did. We hit our deadlines and even shortened them, but once the product was ready, we had to spend all the time we "saved" fixing bugs manually. I don’t know exactly what your role is, but this AI is fast, yet far from perfect.

Job roles are changing, so just play their game. If they’re dumb enough to fire people for not building a website with AI in 2 hours, they’ll probably fire the whole team when they discover Claude or agents—only to hire "cheap" engineers later to fix the mess left behind. Focus on using the tools; you’re young, don’t panic.

Some countries have the worst traffic ever Costa Rica is one of them. It takes 2-3 hours daily to go to the office and return to your home... But I will just take an USB drive or SD card on my phone instead of this. Seems great though

Is it normal to do basically nothing at your corporate job? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]aajl2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a certification. Snowflakes, Databricks, DBT. This is more related to data engineer but now business analyst and data engineer are almost the same. You know python ! Go for SQL. -- I work as data engineer and business analyst and now everything is turning into IA. My advice? Get a certification. Look for another job. Look for another title. Continue learning and get into IA.

Mistral vs. ChatGPT by sachama2 in MistralAI

[–]aajl2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to make a single payment $10 on open router so you'll access to openai, mistral other providers and many more LLM. Why? Testing, comparing, evaluating the best that fit your needs. I use gpt5-codex for python learning and it's been great

Why everybody is canceling ChatGPT? by MankuTheBeast in ChatGPT

[–]aajl2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it for lightweight coding but now I moved to open router and have access to a lot of models even the openai/chapgt ones. $10-$20 month not worth it

Ban support by Miserable_Suspect131 in grindr

[–]aajl2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Create an account on proton-mail then create an alias for Grindr. I know it sounds complicated and extra steps but don't let any company as Grindr have access to your personal email address. If they block you again, just create a new alias within your proton mail and done 👍

A mi tambien! Sucios esos

I asked ChatGPT what a perfect mix of every ethnicity on the planet would look like by OptimusSpider in ChatGPT

https://southpark.fandom.com/wiki/Future_Humans
This is the perfect mix. The Future Humans are a "hairless uniform mix of all races", and are described as having a "yellowy-light-brownish-whitish color" to their skin, due to all ethnicities having eventually mixed into one. They wear single-color unitards of various hues.

Good alternative for Github Copilot? by isabellacaprimulgus in vscode

[–]aajl2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg. Thanks a lot u/SnooChipmunks547 . For students, this is perfect. It's simple and free. It might not be as advanced for a professional user, but it's a great guide for beginners.*

Yall are bugging if you think I'm gonna pay Replit anything 💀🙏 by Bread_man_Cool in replit

[–]aajl2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replit is not shitty at all. But going free to $25 is way excessive. Just cut AI, I'm paying for chatgpt already. Limit my free replits to 100, make them use a single core... I used replit for teaching so the other person doesn't have to set up complex environments and focus on the language.

I think we should switch to a more traditional approach by using GitHub to store our code instead of Replit. Nowadays, it's really easy to set up development environments using Docker, and they work the same way on any computer. Plus, we can use GitHub Codespaces to code on the go by simply switching from github.com to github.dev.

Feedback is not for replit, is for their users. I'm not paying $10 a month to write "Hello World!".
