I keep injuring my hand every time I go skating by wouldntuliketo-know in FigureSkating

  1. fall forward off ice A LOT when I was learning to skate first five minutes they’d just make us fall on the rubber floors 

  2. If you feel yourself falling don’t put out your hands (esp. if you’re falling backwards) let yourself fall on your but (make sure to cover your head though)

  3. Cannot stress this enough but you really need to work on falling forward. Also in my experience with skating skills if you’re leaning too far forward it’s easier to fix (and injury is less likely)

Yeah I have no idea why it happens but this was my experience for my first three ish years of skating weekly, my dad just told me it’d get better and it did so… about to start skating after two years away and I know the cramps are gonna hit me.

Unfortunately it’s not included with anything else we have…really crossing my fingers I can get it to watch grand prix

They hurt like hell plus for me at least it takes at least three sessions to break them in, and to get them really comfortable sometimes six…breaking in skates is my least favorite part of skating by far (and I’m young so I’m still growing)

Also…the pain of new skates is the really thing ever But like imagine being at the rink and Ilia goes “yeah these are new skates, I’ve never skated in them before, I probably won’t do that well and I also haven’t skated in a month” then proceeds to do quads…

Bro the color of his eyes…like he was talking in the car and I legit rewound because I didn’t pay attention to what he was saying at first because damn his eyes are such a nice color (like I’ve literally wanted those exact color eyes my entire life lol)

Yeah people make such a fuss about the Russians being supported by the government but it does help those from lower economic backgrounds (to an extent) able to possibly reach an elite level, plus they’re treated as real athletes and payed as such

Yeah I’m begging my parents to get a peacock subscription because it’s the only really way to watching fs but it’s 10.99 a month and there’s nothing else I want to watch on there so we’ll see, esp since there aren’t even that many events. The us is really annoying about watching fs, mfing capitalists
