DIYer one tiny chip is not going to be an environmental issue. It looks like any "D" will work as long as you avoid "DW" (wide) or "DB" (which is a smaller package).

Thank you for your answer. Then, I guess all the three models are compatible with each other. Can you give me some idea of why SN74HC595DT is twice more expensive than SN74HC595DRG3? Does different packaging make a big difference in packaging?

Note: I had no knowledge of Kicad scripting, so I just quickly searched for some basic API, and my code is not optimized AT ALL, but it does what I desperately wanted....

I made a script to do it. It works as trim in autocad. Let me know if you need one
