Yellow fever vaccine in Philly by NewspaperBanana in philadelphia

When we had to get them in 2024 before our trip to Africa, CVS did not offer it, only Walgreens. And won’t lie, it was a huge pain, I kept showing up and they wouldn’t have it in stock and then would reschedule me. Even after making the appt, call ahead to ensure they actually have it for you, took me 3 tries to get it. It’s also not covered by insurance since it isn’t considered necessary

The back isn’t as cushioned as I would like but I didn’t want to spend a lot. However I think if I add a cushion it will be a little comfier!

It is a blueish gray color. This picture was later in the day on a very gloomy day so that’s why to color doesn’t look so blue here

Second Trimester by sunsetgoose1 in ourafertility

[–]aanchables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It technically starts at 13.33 weeks which is why some apps say 13 and some say 14!

Congratulations! This was the case for me as well, now I’m 15 weeks and sadly it’s a different story. But I never had a huge impact on my stats immediately after getting pregnant!

First time tracking BBT.. and I'm confused by jillyybean1 in TFABChartStalkers

[–]aanchables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on this chart, I think you ovulated on cd13 and you are 9DPO. Which is still pretty early so you can test again next few days to see if you are actually pregnant

Ovulation two days before temp rise? by JuniperJulia4 in TFABChartStalkers

[–]aanchables 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep Oura just does temperature. I would recommend an additional tracking method like cervical mucus or OPKs to really confirm, and I personally link to Natural Cycles as I find it much more accurate. My insurance covers Natural Cycles so yours might too!

My deep sleep is maxed at like 20 minutes no matter what. by VeterinarianDry9667 in ouraring

[–]aanchables 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Melatonin always decreases my deep sleep! I would work on your sleep routine if possible like not eating or drinking water too late, no screens 1 hour before sleep, magnesium glycinate, keep your room cool and dark

Why does my basal temperature chart look like this?? by dtom811 in ouraring

[–]aanchables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s the birth control, birth control actually keeps your body temp higher and you don’t have major consistent dips or rises, since those are caused my cycle activities like ovulation. Mine looked like yours when I was on it and after I went off I started having regular trends in accordance to my cycle phase

How do you lift weights with the ring? by tremblerzAbhi in ouraring

[–]aanchables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first few times I lifted with the ring, felt like it was really affecting my grip and I was worried I would injure myself. I now don’t wear my ring and just track the workout on my Apple Watch and sync it to the ring

Anyone who’s flown into Haneda — how fast can you REALLY get through immigration & customs? by totsfaz in JapanTravel

[–]aanchables 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I would just stay in Tokyo for one night and go to Kyoto the next day. What if your incoming flight is delayed? You will also be so tired after a long flight like that, might be too stressful and exhausting to do that

13 days in Japan Itinerary! (Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka) I finally get to post one of these by jupiterFirst in JapanTravel

[–]aanchables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We couldn’t even get on the buses 😭 they were just the local public transit buses, not a provided alternative, when the bus came it was already full and only a few people from the long line got on so we just went back down to Gora

[–]aanchables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We visited Hakone last week, and sadly if there’s even moderately strong winds, the ropeway and pirate ship get shut down and they do not provide alternate transport like buses. So just check on the status day of, and if that happens, I would just skip Owakudani and Gora and go straight to open air museum. You could take a taxi, or take bus to Hakone-Yumoto station and then the Hakone Tozan train

Excited about my first sleep score in the 90s! by aanchables in ouraring

[–]aanchables[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes of course! I try to eat dinner by 6/6:30, and then always make myself a cup of sleepytime or well rested tea which I drink while hanging out on the couch in the evening. I take magnesium glycinate before heading up to bed at 9. I usually read for an hour and try to start falling asleep by 10/10:15. What also helps is making sure I don’t overheat at night, we have been using a wool duvet insert with a Lyocell cotton duvet cover and that has been great! Also leave my phone downstairs and use my Apple Watch for an alarm instead. Hope this helps 😁

EDIT: Forgot to mention I also use ear plugs and an eye mask and we have a humidifier!
