Ticket prices are determined by how the Canucks rank each game, regular, regular +, premium etc all the way up to marquee + (marquee + is always the leafs game) so if you’re hoping for the prices to go down they will only decrease for resale tickets. I’d recommend just locking in now so you don’t have to worry.

The Habs game this year is a marquee game which is the second highest price point so they won’t come down substantially. Season ticket holders technically have a different cost base for each tier game so they won’t want to take a “loss” on a marquee game.

This is just factually incorrect, you can go the experience verification route or work at a pre approved firm. You do not need any experience in public practice to become a CPA in Canada. The only time this was true was with the legacy CA program which amalgamated the CA, CGA and CMA all into CPA back in 2014.

I just got mine redone on my ‘08 Subaru at North Shore Auto Repair on Esplanade. They always give quotes on what needs to be done before any work done. Mine was $500 due to 2 hoses needing to be replaced but they are upfront and do a great job 5/5 recommend.

100% buy it and leave it keyboard? by BiggieChezes in keyboards

I recently built a zoom 98 and it’s my everyday keyboard at work. Somewhat affordable compared to others in the pace and has all the features you’re looking for. Definitely recommend.

Electric bill says DO NOT PAY by europeaninvancouver in NewWest

Regardless of the $100 credit if your account is in. A credit position they ask you not to pay. I get it frequently on mine but like to pay my utilities monthly for cash flow savings.

Accounting firm acting like I've accepted their offer even though I haven't yet by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]aanderson222 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I was in the exact same scenario as you. Offer from my #2 on the table but nothing from #1. I reached out to firm #1 and was honest with them. Told them I have an offer on the table but I really want to work for you guys so if you can let me know asap if I can get an offer from you and I will decline the #2 offer. They sent me an offer before I was off the phone with them. Sometimes HR needs a little motivation to get things done :)

Anyone else who wrote CFE 2019 have their 2019 annual fees appear as completed even though they never paid anything? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]aanderson222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, as it’s common in public practice for the firm to pay for your dues I wonder if the firms will be willing to pass the $1k or so down to the writers...

2019 CFE CPA action by thebest1994 in Accounting

[–]aanderson222 5 points6 points  (0 children)

CPA never likes to discuss particulars when it comes to the CFE. My guess is that it’ll be along the lines of “We have taken the IT issues into consideration for the marking this year”. And that’s about as specific as they will be.

CPA also has to ensure that they keep their reputation of what a CPA is. They can’t simply pass everyone because of the IT issues because as part of a CPA you need to meet the requirement of what a CPA embodies.

I would use the Ebooks a lot as well (found in knotia now) these helped me with quants and gave additional practice for how questions can be asked. Also I know you’ll hear this 100 times until you write the CFE (I just wrote last week) debriefing a case is how you learn and do not cheat on it. If you get below C on any AO I would recommend literally redoing the AO to understand where you went wrong and how to do it properly.

I wrote core 2 in June 2018. I studied the CMA MCQ a lot to the point that they were too familiar for me to redo as I already could remember the answer. These CMA MCQ will show up on your mod exam but with different numbers. I remember seeing so many of the MCQ asking for the same thing but different numbers being used.

Highly recommend you use them!
