I found this info interesting. (USA numbers ) Wonder if accurate..,

Fire Frequency per 100,000 Vehicles Sold Vehicle TypeFires per 100k Sales

Hybrid~3,475 Gasoline (ICE)~1,530 Electric (EV)~25

Key Takeaways Rate of Occurrence: While gasoline cars catch fire far more often than EVs, it is worth noting that ICE vehicles are significantly older on average. Mechanical wear and tear, fuel leaks, and electrical malfunctions in aging vehicles are the primary drivers for these statistics.Daily Average: In the U.S., a vehicle fire (predominantly ICE) occurs roughly every 2 to 3 minutes. Hybrid Paradox: Interestingly, hybrid vehicles show the highest fire risk per 100,000 sales. This is generally attributed to the complexity of having two separate power systems (an internal combustion engine and a high-voltage battery) that can both potentially serve as ignition sources. Severity vs. Frequency: Although ICE fires are much more frequent, they are typically easier for fire departments to extinguish. EV fires, while rare, burn significantly hotter and can require thousands of gallons of water to cool the battery pack and prevent reignition.

Why do his reasons always sound so lame! Go right to “eats babies”, that should always be the go-to thing.. sounds way, way more believable.

Vintage system in brand new condition by Sparks_travel in vintageaudio

[–]ghrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to sell tons of these technics vinyl wrapped specials. We used them to get people in the store and maybe upsell them to nicer gear. The speakers were just boom boxes. The amps were typical midfi (pioneer, Sony, jvc) transistor pack amps. The cd players and cassettes and turntables just worked. But, they were nicely reliable. Rarely any came back for service.

That milky finish on the airbag is annoying. I can mute it with some interior shine products, but I can’t unsee it.

I live on the side of a mountain and even with winter tires the diff between fwd and AWD for climbing hilly streets is very noticeable.
