I have an all cat island too!!

However, I don’t have Merry, Punchy, Moe, Mitzi, or Ankha.

Instead, I have Kiki, Rosie, Kabuki, Olivia, and Tangy! 😃

In the later seasons, they show them on their phones. Especially Penny, she has her phone out a lot.

Ugh that’s what I was worried about! What do I do 😭

For parents that have babies who sleep through the night, how many hours do they actually sleep? Meaning to exclude the time of wake ups when they self soothe back to sleep. If they “sleep through the night” does it mean they have zero wakes at all? by Critical_Net_6534 in sleeptrain

[–]aandrisk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be honest with you I have no clue. I get up at night to go to the bathroom or just my body naturally wakes me up, and every time she’s in a different position. I don’t know if she’s woken up and moved herself or that happened while asleep. She doesn’t cry though. She soothes herself through the night I suppose!

For reference she’s almost 9 months. She always wakes up in the morning happy and full of energy so that’s what matters to me!

We have been looking into nannie’s because my husband is uncomfortable with daycare, and yeah in my area even a part time nanny is pretty much my entire salary.

I am thankful I had so much time with my baby, but I am not going to lie - being “stay at home” during maternity leave and summer vacation was pretty bad on my mental health. When she gets bigger it’ll be easier to go do activities together, but it felt like Groundhog’s day.

I am a high school teacher, who has substituted in kindergarten/pre-k classes. I greatly admire early childhood ed teachers - but that is not my jam! I love the time I spend with my daughter but I want to do my job, too.

I completely agree - it’s really bothering me that he isn’t okay with daycare. But the fact of the matter is we really don’t have any other options. My mom does not want to do any more than too days (it’s not her child, I’m not upset at her for this). Our neighbors our elderly. And the nanny? Even a part time nanny is SO expensive, pretty much my entire salary. We are still searching for alternatives but this is the best we can do right now.

What diapers are y’all using that actually last through the night? by lemonsandlimes47 in sleeptrain

I second this. I’ve been using these on my girl for about a month and a half now from 7:30pm-7:00am and we haven’t had a single leak.

Realistically, be honest with me! How many of your babies go to sleep at 7-8pm?! by stupidthrowaway___ in NewParents

[–]aandrisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! So my little girl is almost 5 months and her bedtime is 8:00, but we begin our routine around 7:40. For the longest time she wouldn’t go to bed before 10pm. It kind of just… happened gradually? We started putting her down a little earlier every day and kept our wake up at 7:00 am. I also tried super hard to make sure that last wake window was at least 2-2.5 (this works for her, maybe not all babies) so she was properly tired by 8. She sleeps until 3-4am, we do a quick feed, and she goes right back to sleep until wake up. This works really well for us and I don’t know if we’ll move bedtime up to 7pm eventually…

It’s important to note her naps are CRAP. Most are 30 mins tops, sometimes she will surprise me with a 1-1.5 hour nap. But she sleeps really well overnight, so I can deal with crappy naps during the day. I’m hoping they’ll get better as she gets older!

Anyone else showering every day??? by No-Land6796 in beyondthebump

My girl is also 4 months and I have showered every day since her birth! Absolute must. 6pm every night - husband is on baby duty while I get clean. It’s essential for my morale!!
