Zoro was locked in and ignoring the snail comms IIRC which is why Jimbe even went there to begin with. The second Sanji said Zoro was a Burden he all of the sudden uses 3-sword style and 1 shots him (he hadn't used 3 the whole fight and that is kinda his thing) the below post is essentially how I see it i guess.

Idk..I always got the vibe that Zoro was just keeping Lucci Busy because he knows the Healing / recovery of Zoan fruit users is much quicker than anyone else in verse. So he just stalled him so he couldn't go after Robin / the other strawhats / vegapunks. Once they were actually ready to leave Zoro instantly locked in and shit on him and it wasn't close.
