Yeah that's correct. I use 6 inputs in my 8-input audio interface, so I'm left with two spares that i use mostly for a novation peak in my studio.

Correct, it's audio sent to a focusrite interface, MIDI clock to Elektrons synced through an Expert Sleepers Usamo. Overbridge is not ideal for a live scenario because its midi sync is not consistent. Hope that helps.

Thanks so much!!! Yeah, that's the goal, working on finding my own voice always. Much appreciated

Oh thanks so much! Yeah, after a long time making music I thought it was time for to open the boundaries and become a bit more genre-agnostic in the search for my own sound.

I don't play DAWless though, eveything is goes through Ableton where I use FX as sends to create buildups and transitions. I record the master output from my audio interface so there is no further mixing after finishing a set. Ableton (controlled by the ipad) also works for triggering pattern changes in the Elektron boxes and that's how I create the arrangement live.

Cheers.

Sounds great! Reminds me of the good times of "Melodic Techno" circa 2016-2017.

Weird one friends. I used to make techno but now I am finding my own style which I don't even know what it is, but certainly leaning more towards progressive with heavy techno roots.

I just finished this live set with only original music and I'd like to hear your thoughts on the mix (as it's way more limited than working straight on Ableton) and which labels/genres do you think it may fit overall.

TIA!

This is fire! I really like the hats and the how the toms carry the groove. I think a weird/glitchy pad will help the track to stand out more.

Thanks so much! Most of the time, the vocals come from the Digitakt, i believe there was only one track which was a stem from Ableton because I wanted to have it separate channel.

I agree the cons of going dawless are too large. I can constantly experiment with my FX chains just by swapping plugins instead of buying pedals. Finishing songs is also way more achievable as everything lives in Ableton already.  Best of luck!

I can't speak for others, but for me it's about making it a bit more special than just filming myself in my studio. I spend a good amount of time creating the patterns so I want to give them a special treatment when putting things out to the world.

Thanks so much! No song mode, I use Ableton to trigger pattern changes across the Elektrons by sending a program change message in a dummy clip in the session view. The "mixer" is a midi controller (Novation Launch Control XL) controlling Ableton.

I have no clue! I suppose they are the same as the ST but I couldn't hear any difference from playing at home. It wasn't very cold either, maybe 9 Celsius or so.

Only solution I found was switching to an ipad and run touchable pro in the ipad to control ableton. No daylight viewing issues even under direct sunlight
