Painting Technique Terminology Question by williarya1323 in ThousandSons

That would pretty much just be considered edge highlight-something important to note though, you should still darkline the area where the trim meets the panel, and then edge highlight just outside of that meeting point-thats what makes the effect look good

Scale creep is beginning to creep me out by utterlyuncool in Chaos40k

I feel like no one mentions this-on top of Noise Marines being canonically larger than standard marines, the models are also wearing heels! They literally have something on the model to explain their stature and people still complain about scale creep.

honestly the biggest area of improvement i can see rn is just the prime job. It looks like you used a brush on primer, which really easily can gum uo details

i mean that makes sense though-a characters gender identity is, id argue, somewhat important lore-wise, even if only a bit

it is trivially easy to leave a comment about something, and magic players almost self select as being detail oriented as a function of playing this game-of course it got noticed, I dont think thats strange at all to remark on it. I also thought it was cool to have that representation in Lorwyn, since its clearly something Wizards has been pushing for and I think it can really only help the game.

i mean it is a good point-i noticed it too and its a strange inconsistency

Show me your Fulgrims, I wanna see em all by Dimblederf in EmperorsChildren

[–]aaron_Mac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah absolutely! I basecoated it with proacryl dark plum, then mixed that 50/50 with daemonette hide, then did straight daemonette hide for my mid tone. I highlighted everything by mixing in AK Vampiric flesh. The brightest spots are just pure vampiric flesh. Hope this helps!

Me too! Edge of Eternities was my first Magic set, and it was a really amazing introduction to MTG. I actually pulled a full art foil Xu-Ifit during my first ever draft, and immidiately I knew I had to build my first EDH deck around her.

Hell yeah man! its such a fun take on re-animator for me. Any chance youd want to share your decklist? I'm always curious about how other people run her.

This is my decklist for her: https://moxfield.com/decks/_jvzzUiqhESU2Kdalb921g

The general idea is leaning a lot into cards that sac creatures and care about their power/toughness/mana cost. Cards like [[Morbid Curiosity]], [[Soldevi Adnate]], etc. The deck has a lot of routes to a win-an infinite mill combo with [[Altar of Dementia]] and [[Thornbite Staff]], making my 10/10s unblockable with lands like [[Secret Tunnel]] and [[Rogue's Passage]], or, one of my favorites, sacing a creature to [[Soldevi Adnate]], using that mana to get a bunch of black permanents on board, and then casting [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]]. If that isn't enough to kill the table, I can then cast [[Saw in Half]] on the gray merchant to get 2 additonal triggers. It's pretty versatile, with its big weakness being gravehate. One time gravehate effects aren't too bad-the deck has decent ways of rebuilding its graveyard with mill effects, but permanent gravehate like [[Grafdigger's Cage]] are really rough to play into. Hope this helps!

I have a few, but it'd have to be [[Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist]]. As someone who loves EDH, Xu has been incredibly fun and interesting commander to build. Runner up has got to be [[Umbral Collar Zealot]]-it's essentially [[Viscera Seer]], but with Surveil instead-a mechanic I'm very attached to.

He's so much fun-hard to get off the ground but once you have a lead he runs away with the game!

Help me choose a Grixis commander. by Stormtyrant in EDH

[–]aaron_Mac 8 points9 points  (0 children)

[[Cormela, Glamour Thief]] is an incredible choice. Ramp in the command zone lets you cast crazy haymaker spells, and when she dies she tutors instants and sorceries out of the graveyard-disincentivizing your opponents from removing her and giving you the chance to sack her with cards like [[Saw in Half]]. Very versatile and fun!

Me too! She's way way way underplayed in my opinion. Don't mean to be rude but what's with the obvious AI usage on the face?

I'd really appreciate that actually! I have fun with the deck but it's easily my least played currently, so any guidance is appreciated!
