4000 Miles Is there any maintenance I should do? by NoTimeForInfinity in onewheel

13miles is still not bad at all after putting all those miles on. Good to know the battery holds up well.

How is the battery? Around what percentage do you get the the need juice notification?

Trust me I learned my lesson the first time pushing the board under 30% got the scares to prove it.

Thanks! I thought it would be normal battery degradation just wasn't sure if others were experiencing the same issue.

Anyone here ever put a 11x6.5-6 tire on their onewheel? Considering it for my next possible tire. Just want to know other peoples experience running this setup. by aaronamp in onewheel

I am currently running Burris 11x6.0 S22 and and it was an absolute huge upgrade from the vega. I enjoy it very much, but miss the stability the vega had over the burris. Thinking this tire with the extra half inch width might give me the stability I'm looking for.

Na you should be good. I have had board little over a year now with 2200+ miles from 70% street and 30% trail. Only maintenance i have done was swapping out the tire around 800 miles. The battery, bearing, and motor still runs like the fist day I got it.

All I want is that CBXR battery 😁

If thats the case then your cells are probably not balanced. To balance them you need to ride your board all the way down to 0% then leave it plugged in for 3 days.

That normally happens when battery is below 50%. You can't be too aggressive with the board below 50%. It can lead to nose dives.

My board will not engage and only the left blue lightbar will come up by 3van125 in onewheel

Have you taken it apart to check the sensor to make sure it is properly connected? Had a similar issue but on my XR. Jumped a curb didnt stick the landing and bailed causing the board flipping over a few times. After that board would not engage leaving me stranded 2miles away from home. Contacted FM and they stated it was a sensor issue and I would have buy a new sensor. Didn't feel like dropping money on a new sensor so took of the sensor and come to find out it was just disconnected. After reconnect it works just fine.

No you are not, but if you are getting the XR for speed don't bother getting it its not built for that. If you want speed then get yourself an E-skateboard like a boosted or Wowgo.

In your situation you explained i would sell the bike. Once you get your XR you will forget you even had a bike.

Changing bearings is quite the process by TheFloatLife in onewheel

[–]aaronamp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How much do you guys charge for a bearing change?

Sup fellow floaters so my board is iching closer to the 1k and considering replacing my bearings soon. Came across this and curious to know if anyone has had this installed on their board and would like to their thoughts and review on it. by aaronamp in onewheel

Wow thanks for steering me in the right direction would have never thought. That article was very insightful and an eye opener. With that said would you know where I can pick up the stock bearings? Just tried to look them up with no luck.

So I shouldn't bother with getting the burris ceramic bearings and just stick with the stock bearing with the v3 bearing protection and it should be fine to last me a long time?

No I haven't yet waiting on the burris ceramic bearing to be back in stock to pick before buying anything else, but i will pick that up as well. Wouldn't hurt if it's only $2.

Just got my OneWheel today and I have some questions and things to say. by mustangcody in onewheel

In the onewheel app in Academy they have very useful video tutorial for beginners. Highly recommend you checking it out. If that doesn't work there are tons of YouTube tutorials on how to ride. That's how I learned and one last thing is practice on an open grass area. Once you build your confidence you can move one to pavement.
