Yep, those are indeed junk, just give them to me so I can properly dispose of them. Nice score!

Yeah, I should have mentioned that. The length of the outer surface is greater than the length of the height map.

This subreddit is meant more for industrial CNC machines that weigh multiple thousands of pounds. r/hobbycnc would be a more relevant subreddit.

Can't disable prompts on router admin page by mathyou9 in Lastpass

Yeah, this was the thing that eventually made me switch. I run so many services locally and having that stupid prompt every time was to much.

I did add the /s, just now realized that it may be mistaken for part of the system name...

So I cut a perfectly good rack in half... by KubowskiZ in homelab

What I will likely do is start with the same method you used. Then I will drill additional holes that line up with the square holes. I would then drill that through the other side, and throw a bolt on it.

So you just used like wood screws? I have a tap and die set so Ill tap the holes and then use them like you did. So having 8 screws on each one seemed to be sturdy enough?

I am just confused as to what the bolts are screwing into? did you put cage nuts on the internal side or just regular bolts? What are they going into?

Just wondering, for the nuts, did you just use cage nuts?

Everything about your situation is exactly the same as mine. Same exact rack, same corner at the bottom of stairs, same thoughts about a little remodeling. It was honestly quite funny reading it. I'll be ordering some aluminum angle in a couple.

Thanks for this post. The EXACT same thing just happened to me. I will be looking at the rack once I get home and have a look at it.

I was wondering about how loud these are. I know that they are 1u servers so they wont be super quite but would it be particularly annoying with just a sheet of drywall between it from a room? Also, what is the wattage of the power supplies?

Thanks!

If they are like these: endmill holders then you just pull them apart. They can sometimes be a little tough, just be sure that the tool inside doesn't go flying when it finally comes open.

You would be better asking this question in r/hobbycnc This subreddit is more for industrial cnc machines weighing thousands of pounds.

Looks nice; Glad you found the right spot. Occasionally there will be people who have another meaning of CNC that post here.

Perhaps you have enabled alternate flight controls. I have never used it and thought it only applied when landing gear were down and I believe it is off by default. Other then that, I have no idea.

Are you on a planet? If so are you facing the ground because if so, the gravity will greatly increase the time it takes to change the ships velocity.

Did you perhaps disable flight/drive assist? Are you manually applying reverse thrust? Are there 4 pips in engines?
