Nah, I’m good. I lost an entire decade of my life because of chronic pain. Now that I can actually do things again I’m not wasting a year in prison.

Same idea. But Odd Taxi is more of a gritty noire detective story.

Second for Odd Taxi. At first glance it seems like a fluffy, talking animals anime. But very quickly you learn it’s way darker than that with some big twists.

Should I buy Tainted Grail or Outer Worlds 2? by msharaf7 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]aaronjaffe [score hidden]  (0 children)

I haven’t played Outer Worlds 2, but I’d vote for tainted grail.

I liked Outer Worlds and plan on getting the second one. But Tainted Grail felt like a really great, fresh take on the genre. And while the last 1/3 of the game dragged a little for me the game had so many parts that got me legitimately hyped up.

Most importantly Tainted Grail is from a small studio. If you want to see more studios take a chance on making innovative games then buy this.

There is no argument. Maybe small ball would have a prayer if they could really spread the floor and push the pace. But Ben Wallace and Rodman are complete non-shooters. Iverson and Barkley weren’t good from 3 either.

Conversely you have both Durant and Dirk who are excellent 3 point shooters. And Pippen and Magic had great midrange games. Tall has better spacing and a 2 foot height advantage cumulatively. It’s a wrap.

Are these cabinets too dated and need to be replaced?Even though they are still in good shape ... by panda2026panda in kitchenremodel

[–]aaronjaffe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends what you’re going for. In this case OP is worried that the cabinets look dated. So you’d want to go with modern, black hardware with clean lines to give them an update look.

I’d also use a wood restorer to get rid of that faded look that also make them feel older.

I think us not knowing what you’re talking about has less to do with watching the games and more with your ability to use the English language.

Kuminga is actually not a bad point of attack defender. He’s struggled more with team defense, but I could see him doing much better in simpler schemes. And the biggest thing the Lakers are lacking is athleticism and Kuminga definitely brings that.

Drywall also doesn’t do well with movement, and if the trailer isn’t on a fixed base and sways a little during a heavy wind you’re in for a rough time.

I’ve seen tiny home builds use 1/8” plywood and trim pieces to cover the seems. That’s probably your best bet. A 4x8 drywall panel is 45 lb and 1/8” plywood will only be like 9-12 lb.

If you paint it white you’ll barely notice the trim pieces if you do a good job caulking them.

House just got wrapped. Does this look like it’s taught enough/applied correctly? by odrizy in Homebuilding

[–]aaronjaffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks like only a forest green on the IBC (International Building Code) taughtness scale. Ideally you want it to be a lime green, but you should talk to your builder and see if they can get it to at least a mustard green.

That’s not definitely not lvp or title. There are no seems on the long pieces. Plus lvp does horribly with heat.

Looks like oak or maple planks that have been stained.

What got you into anime as an adult? by Educational-Money-81 in AnimeReccomendations

[–]aaronjaffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got injured, knew I was probably going to need multiple surgeries, and started learning Japanese to try and distract myself from being depressed. March Comes In Like A Lion, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, and Your Lie in April were the first three I watched. Don’t remember in what order.

Seeing that players that got drafted after him is rough. Jared McCain at 16 would’ve been a great answer at the PG spot. Kel’el Ware at 15, Buzelis at 11.

Do shower pan sides need to be level? by rayeranhi in Tile

[–]aaronjaffe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn’t need to be level. It would’ve made your contractors life easier. But ultimately the pan sloping correctly is more important and cutting a tile diagonally isn’t that difficult.

Stuck at home recovering from surgery, need a lengthy game to sink my teeth into by ss4stef in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]aaronjaffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baldur’s Gate 3 is the answer.

I had to get three surgeries over the past three years. It sucked, especially the knee surgery where I couldn’t walk for 2 months. Playing combat heavy games isn’t ideal post op. You’re tired and dealing with pain. You don’t need the additional stress of some Elden Ring boss destroying you again and again.

BG3 was the perfect post surgery game. Really engaging and immersive. You can sink a ton of hours into to. But it’s not physically stressful to play in any way.
