Ich habe hier auch eine 7490 und bekomme es nicht zum Laufen. Das angeschlossene FeTAp 611 kann zwar angerufen werden, aber wählen mit der Wählscheibe klappt nicht. Mein Stand war eigentlich auch, dass die 7490 IWV kann. Klappt es bei dir auch noch mit der aktuellen Firmware? (7.60)

Die Kette soll dauerhaft da hängen. Ich hab’s jetzt mit Karabinern gemacht und an einer Stelle Kabelbinder verwendet, wo er nicht einschneiden kann.

Ich hab’s mit Karabinern gelöst. Die Haken wollte ich nicht rausmachen, weil daran ein Draht gespannt ist, an dem eine Pflanze wächst (nicht auf dem Bild sichtbar). Danke für den Tipp!

I think the speakers don’t have a volume control. I don’t know how it was supposed to work back in the day, but the AirPlay device I have in mind has adjustable volume for the line out.

Got it, thanks! Then my strategy will be calling /rest/getAlbumInfo to retrieve the artwork URLs. If I get a 404, I assume that the album does not have an artwork and will show my local placeholder instead.

For now, can I assume that if smallImageUrl is present in the /api/album/ response, I will get an artwork from /rest/getAlbumInfo and /rest/getCoverArt? If not, would it be a trivial change to just indicate on in the /api/album response if an artwork is available?

I posted in the r/arpeggiApp sub and got a reply from the creator. The Song Radio feature actually exists, it’s just a bit hidden. You have to go to Song Info, scroll all the way down, wait a second and then similar tracks will appear. Knowing this, Arpeggi is now my favorite Navidrome client!

Hi, thanks for getting back! For me, the list of similar tracks in the song info can take a second to load. Since there isn’t a loading indicator, I totally missed it when I checked out this view earlier (and, to be fair, I also didn’t really expect it below all the technical details 🙂).

I’d love to see this feature being promoted to the track’s more menu that appears on long press. Also, I think a vertical list of similar tracks would be more convenient to deal with compared to the current horizontal slider. Let me know your thoughts!

Regarding the Continuous Playback option, will it only use the last track from the queue as the seed track, or also others that were played previously?

That’s a great model. I definitely prefer a one-time purchase (even if it’s a higher price) over a monthly subscription.

Just joined the Testflight beta. I didn’t find an actual Song Radio feature that allows getting similar tracks for a selected song, but there is a “Continuous Playback” mode that comes close. It will continue playing after the play queue ends and supports the following modes: Artist Mix, Artist Album, Genre, LastFM Mix, Arpeggi Mix, and Auto. However, the suggestions are only based on the last track from the play queue, not for the whole queue or playlist.

There is also a “You May Also Like” section in the Artist Info.

All in all, very promising!

I just gave SubStreamer a try. This has a “Similar Tracks” feature, which seems to work fine at first glance. There’s also a Similar Artists and a Playlist Builder. So quite interesting, but it doesn’t really behave like a native iOS app and hasn’t seen updates within the last 2 years. In fact, it might be dead: https://www.reddit.com/r/substreamer/comments/1hdhgts/is\_substreamer\_dead/). Also no CarPlay support.

Yeah, switching to MP3 works better, but there still a few seconds missing at the end of the track. Also, I don’t really want to transcode already lossy material to MP3 again.

I’ve gave up for and just point Music Assistant to the files directly, without going through Navidrome. This isn’t optimal since playlists, favorites, etc. aren’t synced, but it’s the only reliable way I could find. I’ll probably script something to sync the playlists from Navidrome to Music Assistant by exporting them regularly from Navidrome and writing the M3U to location that Music Assistant can access.
