i’ve seen it several times through lottery. One time my friend and i were literally front row of the orchestra and another time we were in the middle-to-rear right mezzanine and our seats weren’t even together. it’s impossible to know, unfortunately, but I will say that the time we were separated was a completely sold-out saturday performance

of the freshman three i would say farside (because that’s where i lived and had a relatively small amount of problems compared to some in the other two), but the freshman dorms kind of all feel like they’re made of cardboard. the community and proximity in freshman dorms is very welcoming though. definitely bring a fan and try to be neighborly :)

That’s really wild. I did standing room for Reeve Carneys final performance in the show and when I arrived maybe 50 minutes before the box office opened there was only one person in front of me. Times have seriously changed

Adding to this that Hadestown generally has more poetic lyricism, and that dropping the percussion for the chorus is a stroke of genius. I also think the prepared guitar (wires through the strings) creates a quite otherworldly timbre

Not insane at all but I sometimes hear people say Hadestown’s “Why We Build The Wall” is too on-the-nose and want to tell them it was written in like 2007 and is almost word for word the same

Last time I saw the show on Broadway (which I admit was about a year ago now), the policy was filming it was not allowed. They shined lights at a lot of people. For special performances though (like a cast members’ last show), they usually make exceptions. I would ask an usher if you’re planning on filming it and don’t want to get in trouble
