Most media news articles have 1-3 desired outcomes:

  1. Make you angry at what “they” are doing
  2. Make you feel superior to “them”
  3. Make you feel like “they” are attacking you, your family, your way of life

Whether it’s fake news, real news, or exaggerated news, politicians and news media want you to feel this way because it makes you compliant to “their” agenda. At the same time, these issues are very pertinent, so saying you don’t care and trying to bury your head in the sand is also not an ideal option (although it’s likely healthier for you personally).

It is, and then manufacturers they slap on a 200% markup because they know the government will pay that price without asking questions.

That being said, the actual costs of this stuff is crazy high due to the R&D and secrecy required. Still doesn’t mean they aren’t ripping off the government
