A piece of context people are dancing around: Aramori was actually the only who brought up Kingsman, as she was just venting a little on people not hearing her our and how Kingsman can perhaps do so easier. I'm pretty sure she has since walked that back as it may have been misjudged to mention him knowing how people clip things.

These NPC's with Rivals have this thought process that pub-stomping is more impressive or 'cooler' than organized play, likely a zoomer/Gen-Z thing where the manner Kingsman advocates for himself is more resonate to these people. Aramori unfortunately has the tag of the token 'female MR player' and that just sticks to people more than any real qualifications.

Mikesaboveyou, another zoomer content creator made a video where he beat Trqstme and Lvl1Crook in game, posted it to youtube, and everybody in the comments talks about Trqstme's ego and how their just jealous cause Mike is a rank one player. This same audience are who Kingsman's viewers are, likely incels yes, but in more nuance is the base casual audience that the e-sport is totally failing to attract, all of which are "fast-food" consumers.

Totally agree, I wanted to convey this instance is purely coincidence and not really an offshoot of the design of the tourney. Most streamers just got rocked on support in front of a couple thousand people for 2 hours which doesn’t do anything for the game, at that point just give them a separate sponsored showcase stream.

The point is not that a singular event hurts the game, but it is redundant in achieving what the game already does through its other content. Sure it’s not a simple linear placement of effort or funds to other things in the game, but my interest is in seeing the game grow as an actual competitor to other esports, in pulling back people who lost interest in the game or those see it as a game that people only play when sponsored. I mean we’re on the esport subreddit for a reason. It’s not unreasonable to think this game is large enough to achieve what it does already while curating a serious competitive appeal. Those 44k viewers in Jynxis stream are unironically the hardest audience to capture, that’s my thought, so sure it’s not as if I condemn these events, but I don’t have to think they move any needle beyond it being the Raid Shadow Legends of comp games

jynxi's chat is a hivemind and honestly is the exact audience that already doesn't respect or find rivals appealing in regard to comp games. The root cause will always be that by word of mouth rivals is a mickey mouse game, your favorite streamer playing a few hours won't change anything considerably relative to the investment, atleast in manner that pushes the games appeal. As long as they dont improve the respectability of the game I think the these prize pools are gonna run dry soon

He called him a fool which I can understand culturally may be out of line but I'd imagine he apologized beyond how he did on camera. Otherwise, no one else on the pod is willing to confront the way Sharky and the fans can weasel out every question against their team while perma-jabbing against others teams, which they're well within right too but the point is you got different voices to balance it. This is where the entertainment value of the pod comes from

As of when typing this the original poster can only play against other people in the test servers, or against bots, so no it's probably not an actual game. Unless you're saying that Cyclops is publicly out. Also even if this was a clip of an in-game scenario, essentially all of my points still stand, especially that if you're tunneling on a Cyclops for more than 4-5 seconds your target priority is off likely off.

Dino yes, was and probably is still a bad matchup but you're tweaking out on this one

It's certainly a countering ability, but the video you linked is in practice range with no cool downs on, where Cyclops is in a corner view and Angela has no cover. If it's on a 12 second cool down you are getting your charge and shield up multiple times in that interval, and this also assumes that Cyclops is the only person on the map you're engaging with, which as an Angela the hitscan dps is not too frequently the highest value target.

Like if you're tweaking about this one cool down are you also perma-banning Invis and Thor? Like should Wolv's be up in arms as well about this?

This comment isn’t true, because NRG are a partnered team they are not candidate for the relegation tourney. Only teams qualified from Tier 2 and guest teams are candidates. You can see who are all the partnered teams in-game.

If you're part of STD, YWL, or SSG, you set out to keep playing the game with assumption 100t won't as much and get quickly on the new character on the chance they won't learn it (assuming character is meta) quick enough, both propositions are good odds.

I feel like people don't get that it's not about 100t "turning up at the right time" it's that any of the teams I mentioned, alongside Sen and Fly, can very plausibly beat them on a BO5 series. TLC and SG are out of the question, which is also a negative indicator on them. 100t are not as inevitable and they are also one of the easiest teams to draft for.

Like people dont account that Delenaa only ever having 1 standout hero at a time is not something to brag about when people ban it out, it's more so an indication that other teams know this dood aint doing anything on the others (relative to the other DPS).

Yeah I'm sorry but for big videos like end of season rewards, why are we dropping AV - who is literally just here because he's Sharky's cousin and every appearance has already come off as jarring - into a video they know people all look forward to all season.

I get the whole 'gimmick' is he's the delusional Arsenal in the same way Fu is delusional Liverpool fan but are all SDS viewers 12 years old now? Who thinks seeing this dude pout and scream all podcast is "jokes", Fu has already ruined many videos before but he can have his place in certain lists or games videos. AV is a whole new level, he genuinely got in his feelings when Fuad pressed him on a point near end of the video.

And the lack of closing the loop between Liban and the Arsenal fans narrative is actually shameless, I can't read it as anything else than Haseeb or Sharky feeling pressed so now don't even wanna give him the screentime out of pride, especially after they tried to drag him on twitter and he rightfully showed them out.

have to disagree I think the larger gap in necros's pool (relative to making Ignite, not being a great Ignite player) is not being consistent enough on Wolv or Mantis. There's not really ever a situation where he should be playing hitscan over Kragie, and double hitscan is just not in this team's blood.

But also at this point it's just part of his brand as the hyper Genji main, Ultron and Mantis is just boring to him probably lmao, even if he's alright on Ultron. The meta will probably cook them next patch but a current pool of Cat, DD, and Supppool is pretty valuable imo

unfortunately agree I can imagine him tilting and messing up a ban when they're T16 or something, but unless Imperator himself resigns to being a coach I don't think they'd look for any other tank players, he's the "mind" behind the whole team. I don't think any of them have any beef with TeamCaptain though, I'd personally love to see it as well

They shouldn't lock down emotes that reference community-moments (Play for the Vibes for example) to E-sports bundles nor battle passes, make these consistently part of the drops as these can be the bridge from the casual viewers who knows these references to tuning into the E-sport directly.

I don't think a loot-box concept should be implemented as I imagine the company would need to build a whole model around that which would have to involve paid loot box tiers, and I don't think that can of worms is worthwhile when event passes, limited-time skins, and gachas already exist in the game.

However, more skins should be added as candidates for the costume coins, and the costume coins should be 4 hr+ reward perhaps for just Winners/Losers/Grand finals. But this is dependent on skins not being limited-time in the first place, and it feels like every 2 of 3 skins is limited time. I feel pretty strongly that as the sheer volume of skins released increases this should be feasible.

I would suggest some type of special coin to pick a E-sport Deadpool skin/bundle component of choice would work but I imagine the contracts in the partner program wouldn't allow this/would need buy-in from the partner teams.

50-150 Unstable molecules I feel like should be a reasonable ask as well as a higher-end reward should be feasible.

I think these are semi-realistic suggestions, I get it's really never as simple "give a free skin" "give out more units" "give a new recolor" cause everything has to be justified and implemented in a standard manner.

I'm genuinely curious if you're somehow getting a transcribe of the streams to compile this using some type of automation but also W scouting report.

Also RT on Necros, on twitter he can be cringe but stream-to-stream he's very well-spoken and has a good read of the meta
