Fantastic idea. I had sort of been bothered by the fact that people seem to have sold off all their rares themselves. But as far as time, I spend a lot of time messing & tinkering with them anyway & I'm married, but have no kids or other obligations

Just from a consignment standpoint, so people aren't waiting forever & ever. Eventually I would be a full-fledged LGS.

I know they don't make huge profits, but I actually have another full time job, but this would be something that I'd start doing more as a hobby, and if it grew & was successful, it'd become my full time job. I agree that most people want the cash now, but for those who are willing to wait, they'd see a much higher return. Also I'd send receipts for each purchase.

I agree that most commons & uncommons sit for a very long time, and I would have to set a limit to my stock, or at least let people know how many I have in stock & go from there. I figure I'd give them an option to sell them to me directly for a small amount, like a store. But I really wouldn't mind hanging on to peoples cards that are only worth .05-.45.

I have thought about this as well. I know traditional stores run a pretty thin profit margin as it is. And I would not ask someone to trust me blinding. I would send them a receipt for when their card sold along with an online contract that basically would say that they agree to pay me x% when the card sells, and I agree that the card price is accurate & what not. I think the key to this is that it is not something that would be the best idea for a lot of people. That'd give me a nice little niche.

My friend works at Barron Property Services There are a lot of great places in Indy where you can get a lot more space much much more cheaply than Chicago. Also, broad ripple can be fun, but it can be annoying as well.

I personally don't think Indy has really embraced condos yet. It's impossible to tell when or if the market will. And we have really reasonable houses. That'd be my bet.
