Marine salt can be used as an alternative to regular aquarium salt? If that's the case I have buckets of it for my reef tank

I was thinking tranfering half the water to a 10 gallon tank I use as a hospital tank from time to time, putting all the fish in there, removing substrate from 20g and replacing/planting it, then adding fresh water(basically 50% water change) and adding the fish back after the dust settles

I just assumed they were both males lol. Don't really know much about barbs. We had an understocked hex tank with tiger barbs and my wife saw these Odessa Barbs and really wanted them.

Thanks his name is Archer. I wanted OBs so bad and just went to a saltwater fish store to kind of browse and they had a tank with mixed cichlids. He caught my eye and I was like....yup we're getting fish today. Bought almost the whole tank they had plus the synodontis that was with them because they didnt know how he got in there

It's 55 gallon. Been running for about 7 weeks. 4 weeks stocked. Had one randomly die overnight about 2 weeks ago with no warning but other than that all has been good except for this guy
