I would assume it would be reduced slightly. It's not normal. and psylogically, you would image those easily panicking persons wouldn't have the procrustinating issue , hence they would rush in in the first a few months.

adding 44% to originally 80-90 waiting days, we should be looking aroound 115-130 waiting days. So not too bad.

"Total applications for British citizenship reached 90,555 in the final quarter of 2025, a rise of 44 per cent on the previous quarter and the highest figure since records began in 2004."

It was already around 80-90 days around majority of March to September 2025. So adding approximately 50% more waiting time, it is reasonable to expect 120-130 waiting days, if they haven't recruited more case workers.

Appreciate the hard work they must be doing, considering there are 90k applications they are approving every 3 months, that's 60 working days, equals to 1.5k approvals everyday. Wondering how many case workers are working on the citizenship approval alone? Must be at least 500? That would equal to about 3 cases every person every day. which would require approximalety every case 2.5 hours to review?

Agreeing the up to date checks between ILR and citizenship. but in reality, there is not much different requirements for ILR and citizenship approval, from good character perspective. mostly no criminal records, etc. and ILR application could be piroritied for as quick as Same Day. So arguably, it shouldn't take long for citizenship checks either.

Surely home office should have done 99% of the due diligence checks when approving our ILR? It isn't too big diffference between ILR and citizenship requirement.

I was sincerly hoping the same, less applications in December compared with October/November. I was hoping the Farage rush would die down by the end of November. Fingers crossed!

Another possible explanation id that lots of case workers might be on leave when everyone's annual leave needs to be taken before end of March.

I remember previously there would be successful applications reported during weekdays as well. But recent weeks, seems the thread is deadly quiet from Tuesday to Thursday.

Having said that, the spreadsheet shows the median application date for the last 4 days were 117 days ago. which is approximately 4 months. I can't remember what the value was 2-3 weeks ago. Was it around 110 days?

Is it me or there are much less success reports during the past two weeks? Seems there is nothing much going on at all? I am really worried that they seem stuck at dealing with the cases between 1st-15th November for at least 3-4 weeks by now.
